- Don't think that you have privacy now that you're in high school. Once you're here, your business is everyone's business, yes there IS still drama, probably even more.

- Don't try to sit at upperclassmen lunch tables. You will be picked up and thrown onto the floor.

- You'll never be as hott as the '07, '08, and '09 people. So don't try.

- Don't try to act older than you really are. The way you walk, dress, and talk just has freshman written all over you.

- You're "The Class of '10" haha... enough said.

-If you are black, hispanic, etc. WE GET IT, You love your country! Thats peachy but dont make everything a race related issue because your shit still stinks.

-PLEASE NO MORE XXXXL shirts and ridiculously baggy pants on skinny white kids, nobody likes white chocolate. Allow me to kick you in the face.

- If you are going to try and rebel, it most likely won't work.

- Dont tell everyone you love your boyfriend after 2 days, you're an idiot.

- Don't be a slut. This should be the number one rule.

- DO NOT crowd our halls like cattle, because the upper classmen can (& most likely will), push you out of the way. You will get hurt.

- Don't get a reputation- you dont want to be known!

- Don't talk trash to be cool. You're not.

- Don't think your cool just because you know upperclassmen

- Don't act tough;; you'll get no where except more people will wanna fight you.

- Don't try to get with a boy/girl who's older than you. Chances are, if they are attractive they are taken, & their girlfriend/boyfriend will have no problem effing you up.

Welcome to hell.

Believe me---You CAN'T win. Have fun being a freshman...for a fun-filled year with no life and no opinion whatsoever.

I find it funny because every year, I heard, the freshmen get more and more slutty that one day they'll probably just go to school wearing nothing.

How was your freshman year in highschool? Share some stories.
What's your advice for the upcoming (highschool) freshmen?
If you're going to college, how excited are you?

My advice is to participate in anything you can join because freshman year in highschool will probably be your best, in my opinion.

WOW. I'm sure high schoolers do 90% of the stuff on that list (Like wearing abercrombie, dressing emo, bragging about sex, wearing baggy pants, starting drama, etc).

And even though I'm entering the 9th grade this fall, it'll be at the same preforming arts school I went to last year. It's middle and high school mixed, so I won't be the lowest of the low.

Yes, last year a lot of the freshmen in my grade did all of those things...they still do, actually. It's so immature.

My advice: Don't try and become friends with upperclassmen. If it's meant to happen, it will. That, and don't whore yourself around older guys. No one older will respect you, even if they act nice around you.

Wow..I don't find any of that true.

I just finished my freshman year, and it was soooo much better than I thought it would be. Way less stressful too, and I didn't even really notice the older students. Most of the seniors I didn't even know were seniors until somebody pointed it out.

Freshman year of high school was awesome for me, so, I hope people going into their first year of high school aren't scared and actually believe that stuff. _smile.gif

But then, it's funny at the same time..and I will definitely repost that on my myspace. pinch.gif

I'm an incoming freshman. I see that posted like everywhere I go. Hopefully, none of that will happen to me, and i'll live through my freshmen year peacefully.

I know junior high is a different ballgame, but when I was in eighth grade (it was a 6, 7, 8 school), I was friends with a seventh grader. Of course, she had a billion friends in eighth grade, too, but still...

Yeah, it seemed to be that way. My freshman year wasn't dramatically different from any other, and to be quite honest, I doubt my senior year will either. I only deal with freshman at all during band, anyway

My freshman year is pretty great. I have never been looked down by upperclassmen, and academically, it's easier than any other high school year.

I am gonna be a sophomore, which is a year which is the least noticable...you aren't fresh anymore, but not "totally experienced." It's like blank...

That's what it feels like for me, too. It's like the freshmen are the frest meat, and the juniors and seniors are pretty close friends...and, oh my goodness, it's the sophomores. The invisible grade.

'07 baby.

at my school, people start in 6th grade, so by the time you reach 9th, you're halfway done anyway. so all that is irrelevant.

The think you all have to remmember is that when you graduate from high school, you go into college or into the workforce..

07 becomes '11
08 becomes '12
09 becomes '13

so then again, you really shouldn't be laughing because at saying "class of '10" because the class of 06 is now the class of '10 and its an on going cycle.

My freshman year in high school was great. See, my high school was new and we only had the first two grades (9th and 10th). We were all new in a way, we had no idea what to expect, so it was like we were all "freshmen." And because there weren't many of us, we were all kind of close.

too bad next year, they're going to say the exact same thing to the class of '11. "you're never going to be as hot as '10, '09, '08" yeah right. i think it's cute that some rising sophomores have big egos and look down on the rising frosh, except they're only one year older. "we were looked down on once so now we can look down on others!" yessssssssssss.

When I was a freshman, I knew a lot of upperclassmen, and they usually thought I was a sophomore or a junior, so they never treated me like I was lower than them. Now that I'm a sophomore, most people thought I was a junior. I mostly look down to freshmen that are incredibly immature, and that's A LOT. Running around in the courtyard chasing each other...jumping around, it's like, why not look down on them? They don't know anything.

But of course, there are exceptions. There are some really cool freshmen that actually act like they are here to work, not here to play in a playground.

Those things..I've always thought they were jokes. I mean, as a freshman are you really going to be afraid of being "trash-canned" or something? That's just weird. For me anyway...I never worried about that. I worried about making ANY friends, freshmen included.

Um, the only advice is, don't act immature. Then people would not treat you like a freshman because you don't act like one.
