well lets say i leave the program open for longer than an hour...
well if i go back to it and i make a new text layer the font is huge.
as in 12 pt would look like 67 pt.
its annoying, and i was wondering if this just happens.. or is it just my copy

and if you know.. please tell me how to fix it..
or stop it from happening.

Try resetting the font tool. Click on the text tool. Look on the top bar and follow the image below on how to reset it :
