NONONONO

THREE LARGE MEALS A DAY DOESNT WORK

You're actually supposed to eat little meals ALL day (like 6 MEALS {little ones} all day)

That way its even, i read that in one of my dad's (who works for GNC) magazines

You need to work out too dude.

That's actually the biggest load of crap - I don't care where your dad works.
6 meals a day is unhealthy.

Like I said, I've been put into hospital because of my weight before -
and of all places, if I was in serious need of help, don't you think they would have done that?

Once again, please let me remind you, working out is NOT the answer.

If you're not sure about what you're on about, don't bother posting this advice.
It's crap. FIN DE.

No, 6 small meals are better than 3 big meals.

I'd like to know you where you get your information from. Seriously. Nutritionists, physicians, hell even those who are into a holistic approach to health state that eating mini meals through out the day is better for you than the archaic thought that three meals a day is the way to go.

Also, who on earth would say (other than yourself) that working out is NOT the answer? Are you a doctor? A nutritionist? A counselor? Lifting weights, for example is a good way to gain muscle mass, which is heavier than fat.

6 meals and 6 SMALL meals makes a difference. Also...where have you been. Working out is always and probably the only solution if you want to lose weight and keep healthy.

6 small meals > 3 full course meals per day. You can space out each meal about 4 hours. This way your body will constantly have energy without going after your stored energ. Working out can help you gain more muscle mass. Muscles is heavier then fat.

You really have no idea what you're talkin about.

I eat atleast 6 meals a day and at most 8 meals a day. The days I have cardio, I only eat 6 meals. The days I don't have cardio I eat 8 meals.

6-8 meals is the best way to control your diet... or your body size in general. If you want to gain size, you bump up the carb and protein intake (bumpin up calorie intake)

If you want to lose weight, you eat less carbs but keep the protein intake up (droppin down calories)

Your motabolism is a major part of your diet whether if you want to lose weight or want to gain weight.

And if you don't eat alot... and working out is not the answer, then what do you suggest? Starvation? Bulimia? Taking pills? Laxatives? There's no shortcuts that are healthy to control your weight whether you like it or not.

Hospitals, Doctors, my personal dietitions. Why do I know alot about these things?
I've been in and out of hospital with severe anorexia. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.

So who are you guys? Nurses? Doctors? Dietitions / Specialists?

"Lifting weights, for example is a good way to gain muscle mass, which is heavier than fat."... bla bla bla. You guys can keep on repeating yourself like you know what you're talking about. (How many times has someone mentioned this - I still carried on.) Yes 'lifting weights is a good way to gain muscle mass". But not if you're underweight. You're still losing weight, therefore putting yourself at risk (ie, black outs) and then possibly anorexia (wew! way to go!) I know, because I used to do this.

Re read the title to this subject. Spiritual Winged Aura doesn't want to loose weight, he wants to gain weight.

Spititual Winged Aura isn't underweight.
think!IMAGINARILY
^ Maybe he's not underweight, but he wants to gain weight.
He says he's a twig.

And I used that BMI thing and it said that he is just 0.2 away from being underweight.

Maybe this will help:

Increasing starchy, sugary, and greasy foods is not a good idea. These are bad for your body. Even if you want to gain weight, your calories should come from foods that are good for you. Healthy fats include omega 3 oils like fish oils, flax, and nuts. Good sources of protein include organic meats, fish, and organic poultry. Increase the number of meals per day to 5 or 6 small balanced meals. Protein powders and shakes can be added as meals. Some are flavored and only need added water and some others can blended with water or your choice of juices to improve the taste. It would be a plus to add a small amount of flax seed oil and some psillium powder to add some healthy fiber.
