I have had my PS2 for 4 years now! It hasn't had a single error. Not once did it ever break down! I love my PS2! If you have a modifyed PS2, THEN you'll surely get errors.

I choose gamecube. Gamecube has the cheapest price. Gamecube has awesome games. Gamecube is the most portable console. Gamecube can connect to GBA. Nintendo is a 100+ year old company, very reliable.



I don't choose PS2 because:

It's older technology, slowest processors.
It's just as expensive as xbox, even though xbox came out like a year after.
I kinda have a thing against PS2 as it put dreamcast out of business.


I don't choose XBOX because:

The price.
Most games are terrible.
The controller is terrible.
The console is huge and ugly.
Microsoft makes XBOX.

Actually, I prefer Gamecube when there's a party. They are fun, you know? Gamecube is like the party console. Like the Wario games! Oh my gosh, that game is the shizznit.

Also sometimes, I like PS2 just because of the Final Fantasy Series. Yes.

I choose the PS2, although it operates on 295 processor (the slowest out of the three consoles, as kryogenix has stated.) I like it due to the fact that a good portion of aviation games seem to be released on the PS2.

Um, no. Plus you aren't gonna be able to play next to your friends so you can tackle them when they frag you unless you have comps hooked up next to each other.

Edit - Actually I take that back, I guess it depends on your taste. Though in PC Halo, the Banshees are way too overpowered, unless they've released a patch recently that changed that, but that totally screws up games. And sniper rifle has 4 rounds? WTF is up with that?

Gotta go for GCN... I own all the consoles, so I'm not a fanboy :)... Xbox may be the "strongest" console, but they haven't used it to their advantage, have they? GameCube however, does, with it's awesome lineup of exclusives. PS2 is also good. :)

You're correct. Xbox's horsepower goes to waste. Gamecube has the most exclusive games out of all the nexgen consoles.

I chose GameCube. Sorry, but it is just the best console to me. More fun games that are unattainable to any other console. Talk all the junk you want... that isn't going to make me play my PS2 any more than I already do which is like never. My Dreamcast gets more playtime. My Xbox just collects dust too.

PS2 all the way... It's much more easier to use, rather than Gamecube and Xbox. Plus, it has the final fantasy series ^.^ Ya can't go wrong with Final Fantasy!

Yeah, really. I hate when people just assume that a game or something is the best or is really crappy without even playing it actually.

Sony's hardware is horrible. I mean, its a good system, but the quality is horrendous. My playstation broke down around the same time as my NES, which I had had for like 20 years... My PS2 is already starting to screw up on me.

Sure, PS2 has the FF series, but guess where it all started. Thats right, Nintendo. And with Crystal Chronicles on the scene, Nintendo and Square have nowhere to go but up together.

GC has better graphics, excellent games, and a controller that you could play for hours and not even realize its in your hand, its that comfortable. And while the button placement looks odd, its actually quite natural with most games.

Not to mention the 3 inch optical discs which can hold up to 3x as much as a normal DVD-ROM. It also helps prevent piracy.

Overall, Id have to say that the GC is the best.

Eitherway, none of them beat the GBA SP in sales. Hahaha.

The GC controller just doesn't feel right for games like MGS:Twin Snakes. That's my opinion, anyways.

FFX was overrated Can't say anything for the rest of the series though, but I hated FFX.

It's not the system that can be great itself but the games it has to offer.

1) Yeah, I bought it like that. Its part of a new "Retro" line of Nintendo products. They released old games too, including the Legend Of Zelda, Xcite Bike, Mario Bros., etc.

2) I liked FFX personally. Great levelling style, excellent battle style, incredible graphics, amazing story, and a million things to do. Ive racked up over 100hrs and not gotten everything, not due to my idiocy, but due to that damned dodging lightning bolts! That and I love BlitzBall too damned much.

Which is why you rate a system based on it AND the games.
