Rest in Peace, Graham Patrick Johnson
I'm sorry...

Misguiding Smile

You hid it well with that misguiding smile

That pain in your mind that stretched a mile

We could never begin to conceive

We still find it hard to believe

What went through your puzzled mind

Was your spirit stumbling through such a bind?

Smiles to our hearts is your eternal gift

One may have given someone else that needed lift

I'm sorry we weren't there in your time of need

Still puzzled we are why you decided to bleed

But you're free now from the bind that consumed you

We're left here wishing there was something we could do

Nothing we could ever do will ever erase

That pull that ridded you from such cold embrace

All we can do is smile at the memories shared

I know you knew that we all cared

It just was not enough to pull your finger away

It was not enough to make you stay

You hid it so well with that misguiding smile

We'll see you soon in a short-lived while

While we wait keep a smile upon God's face

Like the one across our hearts you always seemed to trace
