what is it called when you make an image look like this?

.... Just what it's called? Well, it's illustration styled... But it's teachnically a vector. Which would be why the creator submitted it under vector art.
If you're looking at dA stuff, that little box to the right is your best friend.

So does anyone know where i can find a good tutorial for vector art, for like scenic vector art. all i can find is like how to make people vectors.... ermm.gif

You follow the same process. mellow.gif Vector art is vector art. That particular piece's style is even simpler, it's mostly line art. Tracing, if you will.

It's more of an illustration that a vector, like I said. It looks like it's been done fairly freehand (there's very little exact detail) which is rather like drawing the piece.

You can also do a Photoshop version, but they sometimes never come out as well =/...a tutorial for it is right here
Its very detailed and you must have patients for it I warn you xD!
