That's so true. The problem is that girls DO expect guys to just know things. But most don't understand that they have to communicate with them. You can't just expect them to read your mind.
And the problem with guys is that they don't listen to women most of the time. Women have the NEED to talk. When they're upset, they talk. Unlike men - when THEY're upset, they have to do something physical (sports, etc.) A woman talks three times more than a guy does, daily. And when the guy doesn't give her the chance to talk, she gets moody and all that.

A lot of women are like that, unfortunately. I'd love to say that it changes with age but it doesn't, it just evolves a bit. Instead of unspoken context being related to movies, it's unspoken context about the color of throw pillows.
And no, we do not like thinking that way. I don't even think it's intentional.
I can, if I may offer this bit of advice - Say words like, "Tell me what you think," "Tell me what you want," etc. It may seem like beating a dead horse, but eventually it will tear down those inhibitions, because that's what I think it is. Because women are sensitive creatures. We (well most of us) look for sensitivity in a guy. I mean we don't want guys who are all touch in the inside AND the outside. How can you offer love if you're nothing but a dumb, expressionless brute? We want to know you're capable of showing feeling.
I don't see what's so confusing about us. There are basically two types of women - normal ones and those who've been hurt. The normal ones just want to be loved and will love again, and they'll do basically anything for their man.
The other ones can't really be trusted and they don't really trust men much. They're the ones who've been somehow scarred from the past - abusive relationships, cheating, etc. They will leave before you can hurt them or they will give you wounds instead. However, once they're loved and respected, and once they feel secure, they can get back to normal.
