there is probably a million topics on this, but i want to know what kind of shampoo all of you hair fanatics use. describe to me what kind of hair you have, and how does that certain brand help you

please do not name some shit brand you get at your local grocery store, target or walmart.. etc
Herizon Action
I use L'occitane.
And I might switch soon.
jenn_jenny
i use FINO. iono, its like those shmp. that helps with damaged hair. it helps ;D;D
Crich323
I use this shampoo for brunettes.
Have you heard about that ingrediant that's in shampoo and conditioner that can cause breast cancer? I think it's called parabin...
if that's the case, be careful on the stuff you use.
sprezzatura
I use garnier fructis.
For normal hair since my hair is pretty...normal.
gojira
an ingredient in hair causes breast cancer? what does hair have to do with breasts whaaaaaat.

haha rumor has it garnier frutis products makes your hair fall out but anyways i asked for fancy shmancy shampoos.. not stuff you can get at local store lol.
jooleeah
^it f**king does make your hair fall out. >:O I used it once because people said it was "amazing" and my hair loss increased like whoa.

anyhoo i use Lux shampoo. it's not really popular in the US, and it's hard to find. i only found it in japan/taiwan, but when i went to NY this year, i found it in chinatown ohmy.gif it was hella expensive. 15 bucks, but it's worth it.

yeah. smells amazing too.

mmm so since i can only get lux shampoo on rare ocassions, i usually get japanese/korean shampoos. yeah...they're expensive, around 20 bucks..but i'm obsessed. and they work :D
PrincessAda
Herbal Essences or however you spell it.
Gigi
Julia - I can get Lux Super Rich at a drug store in Hong Kong for like, 5 bucks. mellow.gif

Yeah, I used to use the stuff from my hairdresser that my mom buys, all the Goldwell stuff. Pretty good, I guess, but I never notice any difference with different hair products.

I switch every now and then. Last month I was using Goldwell. This month I'm using Neutrogena shampoo and Dove conditioner. Neutrogena makes my hair feel really clean, and the Dove smells fantastic.
gelionie
^ Clairol?...

I use Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo.
It helps wash out the dirt and oil as Hong Kong's air is so polluted and my hair gets oily easily.
jooleeah
Gigi, yeah, I know. In Taiwan, it's amazingly cheaper. I was just saying that in the US, it's hella expensive.
toxical
I use Asience regular shampoo and conditioner when I go to Japan, and usually bring some back with me...it has soy protein and camellia oil and a bunch of other good stuff in it. But it's kinda expensive, even in Japan. :(

Buttt when I'm here and don't have any Asience, I use L'oreal Vive Smooth Intense shampoo and conditioner. You don't need fancy smancy shampoo to have beautiful hair, you know. (Even though Asience is really really nice for hair biggrin.gif )

Old topic.. w/e ;p

I use Pink Coral Flower from Herbal Essences. _smile.gif
1angel3
I use Pantene for women with colored and Just for Me shampoo that comes with the perm. Perm shampoo is better because it's made to wash out hair chemicals. I have thick hair so that works best for me.
medicineforluck
Pantene..but I can't find the new Pantene for layered hair!
I also use bath and body works shampoo
weed
_smile.gif i use a "shitty" brand. herbal essence. i love it.
SinfullySweet
I use the dove green tea shampoo and conditioner. It smells like heaven. shifty.gif Seriously. Dove is a really good brand. I would never use anything else. _smile.gif

I use the dove green tea shampoo and conditioner. It smells like heaven. shifty.gif Seriously. Dove is a really good brand. I would never use anything else. _smile.gif I have black/brown straight hair, and it really helps get rid of the frizz, and the annoying little hairs that stick up. It also leaves my hair really nice and shiny laugh.gif
KRASiA
My favorite is Pantene. It's on the expensive side of department store shampoos (6$ per bottle?!) but the only thing my hair will work with.

Garneir Fructis works well for its price.

I picked up herbal essences after sniffing the bottle (lol, me at walmart, sniffing shampoo bottles) and finding out it smelled really yummy. But after a week of using it my hair just went BLEHH. But it still smelled good...

Well hey, I'm poor! Designer shampoos are out of my league mellow.gif
angelrevelation
I don't use anything fancy... I go between Tresemme and Head and Shoulders, or whatever I feel like buying when I run out shrug.gif I think commercial brands are perfectly fine, unless your hair is super bad and needs lots of special maintenance.
EmoEyelinerx
I use Pantene Pro-v, Herbal Essences, and Sueve.
idalisa
I use Gliss and i love it tongue.gif
sweetest-emotion

Even though that brand usually smells really good, I heard my hairdresser talking to another worker of hers, and my hairdresser owns the salon, and she had mentioned that Herbal Essences has too much pH in it, and if you continously get too much of it on your face or around your face while you are washing your hair, it can cause acne. /shrug. Just something to think about I suppose.
breakingdawn
Redken Smooth Down.

I don't like Redken that much, but it's what my salon mostly offers so I just buy it...
divergent
I use garnier fructis.
xSybarite
I absolutely love Tigi's S Factor. It smells amazing and calms my wild and crazy hair down. It's around $25 for the Shampoo and $50 for the Deep conditioner.
emazing
I have frizzy hair, which I am definitely not thankful for, but I use Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine (both the shampoo and conditioner!) and it helps my hair alot.
jue
I used to use Biolage or something like that. But then it got too expensive being at around 20 dollars a bottle. So now I use Garanier Fructis/Pantene.
migizzle

throb.gif I love that stuff. I bought the shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner all for like, a hundred bucks. Ahhhh. It works so well! But it's so damn expensive. I only bought it once. sad.gif
voguelove
right now, i use shampoo and conditioner from bath and body works. warm vanilla sugar..yumm..but it doesnt work that well which is my main concern.

My parents got tired of me complaining about my hair so they don't mind paying for it. They would rather pay than hear me whine about my hair.

I use whatever I can find on the shelf. Mostly, its pantene.
JustinSezRAWR
I usually use Herbal Essences... or whatever's in the shower at the moment laugh.gif
Peanups
i have curly, medium-thick, soft hair,, if that makes sense.. i don't know that kind of sounded weird for a second.

anyways. I use herbal essences shampoo.. I don't think there is really a difference but it makes my hair smell AMAZING
cyb3r0ptik
got2be Unglued.

Because I use so much of the got2be freezing hairspray and hair glue products to make my hair stay up.
jesusisthebestthing
i use pantene. my hair is so fine that i have to use products that won't tangle it (this way it won't be pulled out). pantene for colored women makes my hair shine, softer, and has an light fruity scent that isn't overwhelming.
Jennifer
Well, my hair is naturally curly and thick so I straighten it regularly pinch.gif
I used to use Garnier Fructis.. It was good for helping to get my hair to STAY straight, but didn't much for my scalp or dryness.

I switched to Head and Shoulders when I had dandruff, and even now I've no dandruff, I still use Head and Shoulders. It really helps with a dry scalp, and my hair is much more smoother and manageable.

(Sounds a bit like an advertisement mellow.gif)

Edit: Oh and, for a while my mum bought some expensive stuff from our hairdressers. Had "Champagne" scent rolleyes.gif
Smelt great but surprisingly wasn't as good as what I'd normally use.
