Okay, I know my military layout wasnt all that good, but I think this one is pretty nice, any suggestions?

*I went a whole new direction

-use Lorem Ipsum it imitate real text
-I dont like having the entries in their own div, just let it run through the entier page so u can just use them main scrollbar
-The banner is kind of boring, especially that large gap on the bottom right
-Maybe move those nav links to the empty gap

thanx for the suggestion, I thought the banner was boring myself, I guess I needed to hear someone else say the same, so I changed the banner a bit, but instead of putting the nav. there I just added a quote and a few brush effects to make it look....less simple. I hope I didnt do to much. ha. but ne way thanx again for the suggestion, I need all I can get. ha.

Lol. I like it a lot. Maybe you could add a background image so that the blog area doesn't look so bland. Other than that, it's great.
