Heartless Hero

There's never been one movie out there that I wanted to see with the girlfriend more than this one.
We have this distance between us...literally. We live a bit far from one another.
But nothings gonna stop me from taking her to see The Lake House =D
It's about these 2 who fall in love together but the problem is...
theyre 2 years apart.
Im pretty sure this is gonna talk about the pain of not being next to the one you love.
So I needa go see this movie!
What do you guys think about it? Any of you gonna watch it?

Is it just me or is The Lakehouse a rip of a Chinese movie? I remember seeing or partially seeing a Chinese movie about something like this, it was about a guy and a girl living in two different times and falling in love as well. I think it was also at a lakehouse too. I didn't understand that movie too well because I wasn't paying attention.
I doubt I'd see The Lakehouse because it's so confusing and strange. How is that even possible?

It's a remake of a Korean movie, Il Mare.

YEA my friend has the dvd IL MARE She said it was good. I think its more about the mailbox rather than the house. Once i tell someone that this movie came from an asian movie they are going to be like no it didnt lol. americans. lol but there were a lot of old stories and poems about this kind of story like the scarlet letter.

It's not possible, that's what makes it interesting.

Now that I think about it, it kinda reminds me of the movie Frequency only that movie wasn't a love story...

Call me blonde, but whenever I see the trailer for this movie, it confuses me. I still don't fully understand what it's about. Sure these 2 people live 2 years apart, but how exactly does that work?

I'm confused.

the "lake house" brings these two people together its about bringing people together and in this lake house they end up being exactly two years apart.
A lonely doctor who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its newest resident, a frustrated architect When they discover that they're actually living two years apart, they must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it's too late.
&shrugs; i like Keanu Reeves.

it was okay. i almost teared at this one scene. i read comments from yahoo users saying it was like the notebook but different story plot... it was nothing like the notebook, i didn't even get the same feeling when i watched the notebook. (wasn't a big fan of the notebook)
i normally don't find keanu reeves to be attractive but he was cute in this movie. i like his height and the way he dressed.. i just think i like every guy in chick flicks.

They live two years apart. One of them is living in 2004 and the other is living in 2006, for example, simultaneously.

Yea, to respond to some earlier posts.. the lake house is a remake of this korean movie.. I think it was called "il mare" (which was like one of the crappiest movie I was ever conned into watching).
