Anyone here ever heard of Ubuntu Linux? The new version came out today, it's THE BEST! Can't beat a great, free, open source operating system biggrin.gif

I have a computer running an older version of Ubuntu.

I had another machine running Ubuntu, but I don't think Linux has matured enough to be a good desktop operating system yet. It needs a lot of work in that area. It's good as a workstation and server OS, but not as a desktop OS.

I think I made a thread on this.

I use Kubuntu.

I still can't tell what the difference between GNOME and KDE is.

I prefer KDE, seems more friendly to me and I'm more used to the K apps.
