We don't have to pay taxes on clothing and shoes here, but I'm wondering if you guys do...

In New York, no tax on clothing or shoes under $110.

In Wisconsin, tax = 5.5% on clothes...yuck. No tax would be really nice.

Our tax here is 8.6%. When I lived in Guam, we didn't have tax. There's no tax on base, so my parents pretty much buy everything there.

It was just recently that they took it away. I think it was earlier this year.

And it depends where you shop.. Tax free in NYC, but I think there's still tax for the rest of the state.. Or they took it away like last week or something.
