I think your hair needs to be really thick and frizzy or curly
toxical
The guys at my school who have afros put their hair in cornrows first, and then when they unbraid them their hair just automatically POOFS. :|

_dry.gif a black guy should never.. ever... EVER.... ask how to grow an afro...

lol, just dont cut your hair. greaseit regularly, wash it everyday. and most importantly, keep it neat. a nappy afro is an ugly afro. and once it gets long enough, braid it, and that will help it grow faster.

^yeah , i used to like taking out my conrows when I had a fro to see how big it was.

Anyway be sure when you get cornrows to tell your hairdresser not to braid so tight at the back or else you wont be able to turn your neck. =/
