okay, is anybody else getting sick of girls who think they're fat and refuse to eat a cookie, when in reality they're actually quite healthy looking and NOT overweight??? i have a friend who is very athletic and she is not fat at all, but i always hear her talking about how she thinks shes so fat and that she needs to lose weight.
right now, i am 15 years old, 95 pounds, 5'7. ive been underweight for the majority of my life and im telling you, ladies, its not that great. im bad at sports because i have almost no muscles, my ribs and my spine poke out when i wear a bathing suit, and its hard for me to find clothes that fit me. not to mention the fact that my boobs are itty bitty. ive been trying to gain weight for a while now, and it is not easy.
i understand if a 300 pound lady wants to lose a little weight but there are so many girls out there who are perfectly normal and have beautiful, athletic bodies who are turning anorexic! please girls, look at yourself in the mirror first and realize how beautiful you are before going on an all-carrot-diet.

im 5'7, 16 yrs and now, finally..im over 100 pounds. (102 now. yay!) it wasnt until track started that i had only weighed 97 pounds. since we got a new sprinting coach for track, his traning was much different and we ran miles daily. instead of only sprinting 100s, we did distance. i got muscle on my arms, abs, and calves. in 3 months, i gained 5 pounds. it may not seem much, but for someone who experienced the same problems as you, it was literally a miracle.

IF YOU WANT A COOKIE EAT A COOKIE!

I laughed at that. But seriously, like Lucy said, it's not great to be thin. I suck at all sports except for track, and a lot of thin girls have back problems. I have to go to a doctor because I have slight spinal curvature and really bad posture. It's just a pain in the butt. I seriously wouldn't mind gaining weight, because I'm underweight and it's unhealthy.

I'm underweight too. It sucks. Everyone thinks you have an eating disorder, and judge you by it. When, in truth, I hate it. I don't want to be fat, i want to be HEALTHY. It would rock to not have to choose what I wear by what section of the store its in. Teenages have it hard, too much pressure on looks.

and she has a little bit of "pudge" as she would put it i think its how its spelt and shes panicing that she needs to lose weight. Although shes pretty active.. she did play soccer and stuff.. All you can really do is work out and run and stuff. Eat like your supposed to as well.
Thats what they do in boot camp for underweight people they watch you like a hawk when you eat and make sure you eat all that they gave you and then make you work out for 12 weeks.
And yes i agree that people should just be healthy and fit and thats good enough for everyone =]

I sometimes think I'm chubby, not overweight, but when I compare myself to my friends, I'm actually underweight. I'm underweight for my height.

I'm a pretty athletic girl and I've been a tomboy my whole life, but I become pretty lazy once in a while, and the fat gets stored. Right now I'm just working on building some muscle because I want to be better than the guys

I know too many girls who think they're overweight. Maybe they just think they're chubby or something. You're not overweight unless you have 20% body fat. So shut up and don't speak of such things unless you REALLY are overweight. If you just want to lose a few vanity pounds, drink some milk and eat yogurt, it really does help burn some fat.

thank you. seriously. i hate how people who are at a perfectly average and good looking weight say, "i hate my thighs! i'm dieting." i'm 5'5'' and 90lbs. it sucks when people ask you if you're anorexic and are serious. there's nothing "lucky" about it. you try to gain weight but it doesn't happen. no matter how many brownies and cookies and french fries and burgers you eat, it doesn't change anything.
lately i've realized that my body isn't going to change any time soon, so instead of being embarassed about it, i show it off. i know that sounds arrogant, but i know some day all my food is probably going to catch up to me...so why not take advantage of it while i have it?

Im 14, 5'6, and I weigh 90 lbs. My arms looks like twigs, and I have to listen t everyone around school whispering "OMG! Shes anorexic!!!" Im not anorexic though, I eat. Even my friends talk about how skinny I am, and make fun of me to my face saying, "Wheres ___My name____?" and then "Oh shes just turned sideways" Its not great. So you girls who are regular weight have no idea what its like to be "thin". Its NOT fun. I've had to deal with it since I was in 3rd grade or so. I cant find pants anywhere, because if they're too big, they're long enough, but if they fit my waist, they are too short. When I bend over you can see my spine, and I dont even have enough stomach fat to cover my bellybutton. My thighs are about 6 inches wide. Although my rib cage doesnt show, it does when I put my hands up. I eat three times a day, but nothing happens. I stay the same weight. I frequently have people coming up to me saying "Your too skinny" "Go eat a bag of chips" "you look like a starving african baby"
Its not that easy, just go eat. No. I eat, I dont gain, I dont eat a meal, I loose weight like that. Im not bragging. Im sickening skinny, and its not something to be proud of.

I can see where you're coming from, but most peolpe don't have the fast metabolism that you probably have, and it's really difficult for them because they must feel really fugly and undesirable. The main problem is that fashion mags and stuff don't ever put normal people in there for ads or print campaigns, so normal size/athletic people may think they're fat.
Anyway, in my opinion it's really hot if a guy or a girl is super bony and has ribs and shit sticking out.

Ive always been pretty skinny for my age(s)
It wasnt fun at all through middle school when everyone always spread nasty rumors about me about saying I was annorexic and after lunch I always went into the bathroom to throw up.
Which was never true, but of course everyone believed those rumors and those shit rumors happend every year in middle school.

people think they are fat because they are looking at them selves from the skinnier side of people. if you look at both sides, you might think about your self for a while and notice how beautiful you really are. im 14 and im bit over 110. but see that is healthy for me even though i have some curves. i wanted to be like 95 pounds but now i am fine the way i am. if you just think, you like the way you are.

I think that people need to learn to like their bodies if they're small or big. Smaller people always want to be bigger, and bigger people always want to be smaller. I'm happier with my body now that I am older than I ever was when I was younger. Just stop comparing yourself to other people's standards and go by your own standards.
