Well I didn't exactly write it but it is very meaningful and deep, so here goes.

QUOTE
As I lay on the soft and loamy earth
And turn my eyes up to the heavens,
My eyes are host to a wondrous beauty
At the dead hours of the night

It was a bit chilly, and a bit wet
But I looked up for a time anyway
And watched the stars sparkle
Into my vision and out, as if some
Are too far away for our eyes to see
And too far away for our minds to touch

For lying down, I remember and think
Of the time I wished for such a sight
A time when stars were impossible,
Where street lights were the lights of “stars”

Finally I stand up, and look straight
There are stars everywhere I look
And the feeling of encompassing
Give me a feeling I’ve never felt before

But, as with all things that love
And care, and wish good for you
They are too far away for our eyes to see
And they are too far away for our minds to touch.

I wish... But I can't.

For a few others check out his Xanga.
