I was just wondering because my school has an event called Senior Send Off.
It's like our goodbye to the Seniors.

For seniors and retiring staff members, yes.
For others, no.

For some odd reason, they make teachers walk their classes out to the buses. Nevermind that most people don't ride them, and that people like me just ignore it and finish our finals then roam the school looking for grades, and winding up back into the band room rather than actually folliwng the rules.

We have a half day and just go through our classes like normal .. but we have an award ceremony. And on the last day of school you're not allowed to bring ANYTHING. Uh. I guess that's it, lol.

Our tradition is too bring water balloons and shaving and have a ball. But next week I'm bringing in Nair and put it in people's hair.

Im gonna get in so much trouble.

Today was the senior's last day, and the rest of the school still has one and half days left. And every year, the seniors do some sort of prank. They haven't done anything yet this year, but I heard there's something that's going to be done...
In middle school, on the last day, there was always a "Fun Day" carnival along with an awards ceremony.

My school is so cheap, they can't even afford anything.

Well I can't really say because I'm a freshman. So nothing so big that everybody knows about this end of the year spectacular.. but just today I heard that the whole school is gonna have a HUGE cookout on the last day? it's probably a lie.. cause we're poor. haha

We used to have a cruise, but we had a history test on that day, so they freaking cut it and replaced it with a Nationals game. Which isn't bad, but a bunch of us didn't go. And we have this "barbeque" sponsored by Outback Steakhouse. Woohoo. How fun.

Only seniors get stuff.. obviously. Everyone else goes to a shortened day (20 minutes per class) and teachers will tell y'all how much they liked (or disliked you) and hand out grades.
Seniors have....
Senior Assembly
Senior Prank
Senior Ditch day (x2)
Scholar's Night
Awards Breakfast
Candlelight Farewell
Senior Breakfast
Senior BBQ
Two standardized testing days off
No finals
...and of course, commencement.
Btw in 8th grade we had the class picture, a week of doing nothing but watching movies and eating snacks, 8th grade dance, 8th grade trip (to the local Six Flags), and graduation with awards and such.
