Dark mist pours around me.
The air grows damp and cold
I breathe out shallow breaths
They seem like puffs of ice
Against my face.
My hands are bitterly cold,
My cheeks flush red,
And my heart beats faster.
The sky isn't visible,
And that saddens me.
Hot tears run down my face
They hurt as they came in
Contact with my cold cheeks,
I wander around,
In this cold desolate place,
No shelter, just surviving
The way I can.
My heart hardens,
I turn against the world.
I'm turning colder everyday,
Just like the freezing winter.
The cold mist encases me even more,
Comforting me, calming me
I'm thriving in this dark winter.
