Shame my iBook couldn't hold out for another three months. New MacBooks (the iBook replacement) were released today.
  • Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger (also runs Windows XP, if you're so inclined)
  • 1.83 GHz or 2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 60GB or 80GB hard drive
  • 13.3-inch widescreen display, 64 MB graphics processor
  • built-in digital videocamera
  • Ethernet/802.11g wireless
  • Optical digital audio in/out
The high-end model is even in black! dribble.gif I was disappointed a few years ago when Apple stopped shipping black laptops.

Yeah, my (ancient) iBook died back in February. The logic board stopped working, it would've cost $250 to replace, and it was out of warranty, so I unfortunately had to buy the last iBook G4 model as well.

There might be a market for PowerPC stuff in the near future, though, so you might be able to sell the iBook for a pretty penny and get a MacBook. One nice thing about Macs is that they retain their original value for a long time.
