i want to have border around text. i have this:

CODE
<font style="border:1px solid; border-color:000000; background-color:06AE5A;       color:000000; font-family:small fonts; text-transform:uppercase; font-size:7px;text-align:center;"> text </font>


that works, and i want it just like that, but i want the border to be 100px long so there's space on either side of my text. how do i do that?

Maybe 100px is too long! Thats why you get space behind your text?
The border covers both sides evenly thats most likely why.
