To me, it seems a bit unoriginal and overdone, but it can still be considered sweet.
But I wouldn't consider it fruity though.

I find the candlelight thing a bit...creepy.

I think guys their own poems from the heart is sweet.

Poems and songs that are good aren`t cheesey. But like songs that don`t even make sense or make you think a long time about what it mean is cheesey.Candle lit dinners are sweet..

candlelight can sometimes be cheesy if it's over done.
but i think poems and songs (if its what they made up) is quite romantic

I think I do some cheesy stuff but I don't care, it's sweet to do cheesy crap once in awhile. I'm very comfortable with my significant other, as long as we're having fun and not hurting anyone it's all good.
A candlelight dinner would probably scare me. I don't like the dark and candles make the dark scarier. Once, my dear lit a candle when he turned off the lights because he remembered that I was afraid of the dark... It was sweet but I was still pretty scared...
I used to write poems but I don't anymore, I just write letters and cards. I like getting out what I really want to say, I don't want to force it into the form of a song or poem.

Cheesy...most people think just because something's cheesy, it must be instantly bad. Undeniable, some "cheesy" things can appear to be unoriginal, but it still takes about the same amount of effort and time. I once read in an interview (Ville Valo - Rocksound) :
QUOTE
"The term 'cheesy' was invented by people who are scared of the trught," he laughs. "If I say , 'I love you, I wanna be with you, I wanna share my life with you' - all that stuff's really cheesy and y ou hear it all the time. But you only repeat things that are important."
I don't actually mind if my partner does something cheesy with me. I just want to be with him, whatever we do is fine with me, it doesn't change my view about him. Whatever he does, it touches me deeply.

Agreed. Besides, I'm such a romantic...I love the sweet stuff, but yes there is a point when things get too cheesy, but I don't often see guys ever doing that level of cheesiness.

To me...it's cheesy, but when my boyrfriend makes the time to do that for me, I actually like it. As long as he thought about me while trying to pull of a romantic/cheesy stunt--it's all gravy.

I agree. It always seems corny/fruity/cheesy when people do all that. But the fact that the guy is willing to look so corny/fruity/cheesy for me is sweet.

You will think it's sweet if you are the one who received the action.
You will think it's cheesy if you are not the one receiving the action.

alright, i think that when you se epeople do these things you think its cheesey but you dont realize how cheesy your going to be someday... when you find that girl you really like, your going to find yourself doing some pretty cheesy sh*t... and you wont realize it either... also, when everyone looks at you doing that really cheesy stuff they are going to think your cheesy... truth is, you really only think its cheesy becuase your not cheesing it out yourself and you dont realize that these poeple are accually being genuine....
also, in your defense, i do find people doing cheesy things that arent genuine a load of bull sh*t...
p.s. i would love to take my little sunshine on to a candle lit dinner on a beach. i would want everything to be fun and comfortable... i would want her to wear a long sleeve shirt and her baggy little jeans, and what ever her favorite shoes are... i would wear some tshirt and some jeans and my favorite pair of vans and i would make my hair all spikey... we would talka nd joke around and have fun together... i dunno, when you look at it from your own perspective it suddenly doesnt seem all that cheesy...
thats sweeet. yeah i agree, i guess it does seem cheesy when you're in third person point of view but when you find that person that you love..it doesnt seem to matter anymore. but yeah i guess it is a bit creepy.. cept i wouldn't mind if a boy wrote a song about me :)

but cute' and kiss them anyway

I'm a hopeless romantic.
When a guy writes a song for me, then takes out his guitar and strums a few chords and starts to sing....man, that'll get me anytime.
If a guy writes a poem and gives it to me, I won't throw it out.
If a guy will cook dinner for me and actually do the candle lit dinner, I will probably melt.
lol I guess I am kinda cheesy.
But when you are in one of those moments it's so special.

there is little more romantic than candle light. If my boyfriend had a bubble bath running for me in all candle light I would die. I fhe read a poem to me, I would kill him. Thats cheezy to me. Its pretty...sappy. But candle light is meant to put people..in the mood tee hee. But like my boyfriend will bring out the candles and the massage oil and will give me a great back massage and then run a bubble bath for me. Its all very relaxing and intimate.

If it's not natural for a guy to do that, then it'd be strange...but cute sometimes? I don't know...I'm one of those hopeless romantics that think those acts of love are the sweetest things in the world haha...

It may be unoriginal.. but you don't hear true accounts of those things too often. (Or at least, in this neck of the woods) So it could just be the idea that's cheesy and not the action overall. Plus, I wouldn't mind if people did that for/to me. =) No matter how cheesy.

Back on subject: I'm a hopeless romantic. All of the cheesy/fruity things you see on TV and in movies are so cute to me.

What I would really love to do with my boyfriend..is go with him to a high place overlooking the entire city at night here in Vegas. We could watch all of the blazing lights sparkling and talk for hours on end, sitting on a blanket ontop of the hood of a car or something, waiting for the sun to come up.
Or even just sitting and playing on some swings in a park. And for some reason, when I daydream, I imagine us sitting on the edge of a curb, playing around and laughing a lot, with the sun shining down on us like nothing in the world could touch what we have.

Ahhhhh. I rambled.

Oh well.

Keke.
