Soooo. There's this band called Paramore which I would like to recommend to all of you. I searched for a topic about this and there wasnt.. And there had to be.
Well in a nutshell they are a five-piece band with a female lead vocalist from Franklin, Tennessee. Their debut album is called 'All We Know Is Falling' and have performed in the Bamboozle, Purple Door, Warper Tour, etc.. They are all young.. and the oldest band member is 21, the youngest is only 15. They're from the record label with Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is..., and Panic! At The Disco called Fueled By Ramen.
They are getting pretty big now and its amazing to see the process.. They are all awesome kids even if I didn't have a chance to talk to everyone. They're also getting big in Europe haha. They've been featured in Kerrang, AP and a few other magazines.

nowadays, record companies sorta have 'their own' genre. for example, Panic! At The Disco sounds a lot like The Academy Is...
hmm. i think i'll go to PureVolume and check them out.

wait, they've preformed at Warped Tour? only really good/popular bands can preform there...

^ They were probably an opening act or something. A lot of underground bands have been able to perform at big shows to gain popularity.
And .. I've heard Paramore before, and I don't think they're spectacular. I guess I'll just have to look into them more.

I like Paramore. I mean, I've only heard like one or two songs. But I don't hate them.

Warped is where a lot of unknown bands get their start. I'm pretty sure Paramore probably played one of the side stages last year.

Are you kidding me? PATD sounds like carnys while The Academy Is just sounds like... well I can't describe it but, in my opinion, they sound nothing alike.

lol. wow. Panic! At the Disco is really NOTHING like The Academy Is.. The only thing is that they were on tour together and they're both from FBR
And no.. You don't have to be really "good" or popular to be on Warped. lol.. it seems you don't know that much about this kind of music. It doesn't really matter how popular or not they are anymore. Paramore either way is a really good band [in my opinion] and they are getting pretty popular

I've heard of Paramore. I like some of the songs like "Pressure" and "Conspiracy", but they're kinda mediocre in my opinion. The singer sounds a lot like Avril and they're from Fueled By Ramen so that might be why I'm not too enthusiastic about them.

then why are bands on PureVolume competing to get plays and song downloads to get onto Warped? Warped doesn't just choose any random band.
and i think The Academy Is... sounds like Panic! At The Disco but only some certain songs. i think Camisado sounds like The Academy Is. and parts of Time To Dance too.
and don't assume i don't know much about 'this kind of music.' i bet i know many bands that you don't. i mean, do you know what band wrote what's in my sig? i actually take the time to browse through PureVolume by genre. i've gone through a couple thousand bands by now but only added a few to my favorites [along with some bands i knew in the past]. most other people just check the featured artists or whatever people recommend to them.

I like Paramore, Haley's voice is amazing.
They did play at Warped at the Shira Girl stage where specifically girl fronted bands play.

Yes I know Warped doesn't choose any random band. But you don't have to be big. Last year Paramore played on the Shira Girl Stage, as someone mentioned before. It's extremely small. This year they're moving up the the Ernie Ball Stage.
And that's great. Music is music no matter how you find it.

OMG! Love them, like crazy. I only found out about them about a month ago, but they are now my favorite band. They are playing a show near me soon and I want to go so bad! Just went to Warped on Sunday, and I was pissed that they only played half of the tour. I heard that they sound great live. Amazing band...
