Does any girl here have a guy as a best friend?

I do! I have four best friends, three of them are guys. I've never really encountered any problems with them.. not counting when two of them had a crush on me. All of us are still close though, nothing's changed.

I used to but in the end, it always turned out that they wanted to be my friend because they liked me. It pisses me off that no guy wants to be just friends with me

yeah i did, but he ended up liking me and i liked someone else so he stopped talking to me
and i now have a really close friend who's a guy, and we get along great

i used to be really close to a guy, who happened to be one of my ex boyfriend's best friends.. & supposedly 'he was in love with me', haah. But nothing happened, we're still friends, but I kind of get annoyed of him sometimes.

I don't have any best friends, except for my boyfriend. But yeah, I have tons of guy friends..

Yes, I only really have one good girl friend, and she likes to hang with the guys too. I hang out with them because there are NO problems..just so undramatic.

my two best friends are both guys. and yeah i have problems with them just as you would have if they were girls.

My best friend is a guy. =) And along with that, I have a lot of guy friends, I find it easier to talk to guys rather than girls. They tend to start more drama =/

mostly all of my friends are boys.. its a major probalem case i have a BF and usualy HIS friend likes ME. so complicated.. but they are much fun casue they usually help you too.

A large majority of my friends are guys, including my best friend. He really likes me a lot, but I don't like him. It's fine how it is and there's really not any problems. He knows I don't and he's fine. We're very close friends.

i'd say half and half.
in the end, it really depends on the person... you can still have guys who think and act with a drama queen's mentality and girls who think with a guy's mentality....

but yea, usually guys are easier to talk to... or theres more to talk about other than boyfriends, hot guys and manicures, etc.

i'd guess by problems you mean that the guy friend is more interested in a relationship, or using you?

i've never had problems with my guy friends, but then, most of them are gay... and i've never had a problem with a straight guy friend either.

i think it depends on how you act as a person sometimes, wether the guy is going to just treat you as another friend or as a special interest.

I have a few close friends that are guys, but my other friends tell me that once, they used to like me.

Yeah, I know about one guy and I've known him for about 4 years. We used to have a lot of arguments and stuff but it's okay now. there's really nothing to get mad at each other about and i don't have to go through with that drama.

yea i have a lot of guy friends... and usually, i feel more comfortable with them. cuz i can goof around more
but then, once they start to talk about stuff girls shouldnt be listening to, it turns awkward. haha

Yeah, I've got a lot of guy friends and [I've got two] one of my best friends is a guy... I get along with both though, its not because they dont cause drama or anything - kinda think its just on their personality. The problem I have is that I think my boyfriend gets jealous meh... they're just friends

yupp most of my friends are girls though
its great cause we are exactly alike have the same prefrenceses and everything.. from who we find atractive ( im bi and he is to) to family problems and school drama and all that junk soo we are able to comfert each other better then anyine else
its actually amazing how close we are since weve never gone out and we met in late october

same here! I love having a best friend who's a guy because I can goof around and be immature and he won't bitch slap me. lol!! But it's the opposite in the girly/guy stuff situation. I get extremely annoyed when he constantley, almost all the time talks about stuff like that and I think I take it a little to seriously when he talks about this girl he's totally obsessed with (not a girlfriend) because I still like him A LOT! He's also... um... my ex so that's why I said "still" but yeah.

I have best friends that are girls and then I have best friends that are guys. I feel lucky like that… having more than one best friend.


but guys as best friends… gotta be careful. if you like him a little more than a friend, be aware that he's going to talk to you about girls he likes because he considers you his friend and not significant other. he's bound to talk about things like that, and even more so if he knows you well. that happens to me a lot… more than personal comfort would normally allow.

I had bestfriends who were guys. My ex was my bestfriend but yeah i went out with his"bestfriend" and then when we broke up. He asked me out ..It's kinda of a three way situration. It's so deeply annoying. Now we all don't talk.

Anyways I think guys bestfriends are still great because you can do the stupidest stuff together. I have to best guy friends, one is Bi but he is the most absolutely coolest i've sen around. I hate it how when you have a guy friend and you spend more time with that person people think you are going out. Its dumb .. haha sorry off topic.

i don't like to use the term "best friend" but most of my close friends are guys. they're just better to talk to.

i have tons of guy best friends. and i love them all :D
although they can be assholes at times, i still love them, yah know?

^ Haha! I agree too. My best friend and I were rumored to be a couple, and it kinda gets in your nerves when people constantly tell/ask you: "Hey! I heard you and *name* are a couple! Since when have you hooked up? Huh? HUH?"

I used to have a guy best friend but then he started getting in between my relationship with my boyfriend so i eliminated the problem. Its cool to have a guy best friend when your single.

I have three best guy friends. Well two of them are actual friends cus one of them is my boyfriend. Anywayyy.

Yeah one of them is the one who i talk with the most. I used to have problems/fights with him EVERY single time I would talk on the phone with him. Like EVERY single time. ABOUT anythinggg. We haven't fought for like three months which is the most. i love him to death.

my other best guy friend, i know since i was five. i dont talk to him as often since we dont go to the same school. i feel really comfortable around him when we hang out cus well, he's like my brother. yeah.

the only thing i kind of dislike about having really close guy friends is that they get really over protective sometimes.

Yes stranger, I know that. But I get annoyed and upset by it because thinks have been done to me that I don't wanna be reminded of (one including Justin) and him talking about that brings them back up and I just wanna cry.

well, he's not my best friend but he's pretty close. i used to like him in the summer but in my trying to get closer to him, we became good friends and i dropped the crush. i dont really have alot of problems.

but my cousin, his best friend is a girl and x_x lord the problems are up every other week. because he likes her...yea.

looking back, most of my bestfriends have been boys. and, if they weren't boys...they were chicks who acted/thought like boys. i've always felt more at ease around guys. girls and i don't agree much and it more often than not ends up in catty feuds. i'm not the most girly chick on the block, so i tend to clash with the more "ultimate girls!" around here. although!!! i have had a couple of those...girly chicks as close friends. they were the exceptions. we got along great and had the most amazing teasing banter with each other. so, opposites attract only sometimes, i suppose.

it's been a huge problem for me though. having boys as bestfriends. since most of my guys had girlfriends. and..well, of course they HATED me. i was always around, knew all their secrets, had inside jokes, was comfortable cuddling and touching them, etc. just like any bestfriends do. but, that doesn't fly too high with significant others. i've lost a couple because of angry/jealous/bitchy girliefriends.

Like with anything else, having a boy best friend has its advantages and disadvantages.

IMO, guys are better to hang out with and get along with compared to girls.
Girls get whiny and bitchy about the lamest things sometimes.

But then again, there are times when you need your girlfriends with you to have a good ol' girl talk about all of the girly things too.

i think guy freinds are more loyal..? they dont backstab you
