I had a strange destination page come up the other day. Usually the dest. page is my MS page. But this time it was a link to a mypace image review page/link with a login form... never saw that before. Any idea what it could be or mean?

don't growl at me for being a n00b, if there was a tracker for here you would be able to see that I have been visiting here for over a year, just never had the time to join the forums.

anyways, I just want to say that I really like this.
I can now recognize my IP and my best friends by matching it up to our xanga usernames.

I am frustrated about the myspace thing, and YES I DID READ all 21 pages.
I want to find out if my ex is following me, but I have 6 IPs all from "Reston, VA"
if you attend college, it does say the correct IP, but at home in NC I am in "winter parks, FL"

oh and, that little IP thing? that tells you where they "actually" are?
doesn't work. I got New York and Connecticut for all the non-resnet (college) users...
and I know no one from there.

it did help me find some weird person in GA who has been visiting my xanga...thanks :)

oh and also, no matter what I do, it WILL NOT work for me on livejournal AT ALL.
I would like to get this fixed, because it is "friends only" and I would like to know
who is trying to view it. and better instructions would be fantastic.

I know!! I took out my LJ tracker cuz all my codes(friends_website-lastin_website) wasn't working and + I like S2 was better!!! I also don't like the Myspace one cuz it does give off wrong states and I have friends who live in the L.A. area and they see my page but don't post and I wanna know which 1 is looking and which is posting!! I have this 1 stalker whose seen my page 67 times in 2 weeks and have no idea how to get rid of him/her cuz I don't know which friend it is and just know its from L.A. but could be another part of CA county.

I've gotten a ton of those Reston, VA ips myself. Also what ip thing that tells you where they atually are? I read all the pages but missed that.

Recently, I've realized that myspace page views have been increasing and my tracker hasn't been tracking all the visitors. This is VERY weird cause it has never happened before. Any idea of what's going on?

it doesn't keep up with my time, even though I have it
set to my time and daylight savings activated...
it's an hour ahead. I dunno why...

I asked this question a couple days ago and it never got answered. Will the tracker be made for S2 for LJ soon and what codes do you need for the S1 tracker? I've done the friends_-lastin_code but still doesn't work!!

How do I get my tracker to work for my blog on Myspace? Do I have to post it to a certain blog or can it work for all my blogs?

Also how do other trackers stack up to this 1?What about Myspacewatcher.com or StatSync? Any new trackers that might be worth giving a shot(maybe letting us know usernames,exact location)?

On pg. 17 of this thread,SilverNoOne answered it and he/she says to copy your entry URL ,include it in the code and paste the code into your About Me section of your profile. Silver says this will work for S2. I just did it and looked at my profile but am gonna wait til I get some hits from friends before just deleting and erasing it and waiting for new answers.

Hello! I have a Livejournal account. I would like to have the tracker on my actual journal to see who visits it in general, not just a specific entry. I need the tracker to be invisible, so I unmarked the "Show tracker button?" option. Unfortunately, the tracker is still visible.

I am confused as to where I put the tracker in my Livejourna so that I see who visits "theemilyeck.livejournal.com"l. Do I put it in an entry that constently shows on my site, or do I put it somewhere in the cutsomizable area that builds my ite's appearance?

Ok,I just added the Friends_Latin code on there too and it's visible! I have it hidden so does this mean the Friends_Lastin code doesn't go on. I did this b/c I got 4 views last night but no stats tracked after I put the tracker on my LJ.HELP!!

Ok,just erased teh Friends-Lastin code and got 2 hits that show up on Stats and they were from me but tracker's still visible even though I unclicked the 'show tracker'button?? How do I make it not show up? Thanks!

HEy ya ....OK i think i saw someone ask this question but i didn't see it answered.....so here's the question How come my tracker is only tracking me.....and no one else????? My MYSPACE number is going up but i don't see anyone on my tracker but me????? VERY confused and fustrated :ermm:

why is everyone shown as anonymous? and how come it tracks me and it says i'm in a different place than where i really am?

This is great, but the myspace no user name thing is a bit annoying.. there is a way around it though - judging by the rest of the posts, people just ask the same crap and never bother to read other posts, i tried reading through them but i got sick of it when i got to page 16:

most people have a broadband connection right, and their IP's don't change..

Figure out what IP belongs to who... figure it out by looking at who was on your page, when you got a comment and then who returned to your page again (make sure you set the time zone on the tracker and your myspace the same), because after posting a comment it takes you back to the profile... write it down and then when you want to see who's beening viewing your profile refer to your list of IPs.

It might seem a little complicated, but that means that you're just plain stupid, or my writing is incoherent. The only problem is, people who never comment, such as the guy who's mum kept looking at his LJ (which is ages back.. page 14 or something) and dial-up connections, but some of which stay the same.

This tracker IS really easy to use, if you can't understand how to use it you probably don't deserve to use it.

nyCxChink - mine says i'm in a town that's about 2 hours away and the links are meant to go to myspace, this was originally designed for xanga but was adapted to myspace as well.

Am i the only one whose tracker is skipping days of recording...... mine will record visitors one day and the next it won't....fustrating will this glitch be fixed and is anyone else experiancing this problem???

i think something cool that could be added to this tracker is, maybe, the page that referred the person to our own page. like if they were on their own myspace and clicked on a link from their page to get to ours. if the tracker could catch that it would be so awesome.

Glad you like the Xanga tracker. The MySpace tracker doesn't suck, in my opinion. The tracker here is in compliance with the My Space Terms of Use, which doesn't support the tracking of usernames (as indicated in the first post of this thread).


Once you have the tracking code, copy and paste that code in the "About Me" section in your My Space. If this isn't My Space your tracking, then copy and paste the code (if this is Xanga) into the Website Stats section. Once you've done that, click on the Stats link above (where it has the Layouts Scripts Graphics Tutorials Topsite Stats Forums links) and you should be able to see your stats there.

Nope. cB is 100% legitimate and it's not going against any terms of use.

This is a bad idea....Do you know how many hackers can get ahold of this..and you are doing the job for them by providing people

While I LOVE the fact that you support up to three services (I being a Myspace/Livejournal person) and I love the layout ect. of your tracker however the lack of support for myspace names rules this tracker out. I've got a myspace tracker that shows me the exact profile of who was looking, where they looked, where they came from, their email address (if they checked the remember me box upon signing in) and also all other profiles that have been logged into by that person on that particular computer.

That being said, if you can learn how to do that coding as well and incorperate into what you have now, then I would be sold.

My lj tracker I have which is a seperate service does a little less that what yours does.

You do realize that the use of such a tracker is prohibited by MySpace as said in their Terms of Use (Service?). Your profile can be subject to deletion.

This tracker is great but for myspace it is kinda anoying that you can't get usernames.

I was wondering if it would be possible to identify IP addresses that you know so you wouldn't have to sort thru the annonomoses every time you check you stats?

okay IDEA. since we can't get myspace usernames, but we can get IP's, you should figure out a way to get myspace FRIENDIDs. i mean, at least you can somewhat tell who's going on your account, right? you would have to type the id in under myspace to figure it out but still. jjjust an idea.another thing. we should be able to add MORE THAN ONE URL for myspace trackers - because people might visit your site using a different starting url. (i.e. profile.myspace.com, http://myspace.com, http://www.myspace.com, or even with myspace.com/FRIENDID instead of url, etc.) and that is probably why some people aren't getting any visitors-because they have a different type of url in than the one their visitors are using.





i knowwww. i used this when i used to use xanga, and it actually let me know who lied about their location .. apparently someone who lives in CA actually lives in missouri, someone who always talks about how warm it is down in cali lives in .. canada. but is that even right?


p.s. this tracker helped me find STALKER who had visited my site over 500 times, more times than i myself viewed my xanga site. i had let them subscribe to me because i didn't think they were that type of person, but createblog definitely helped!

The locations are sometimes quite inaccurate because it's due to IP addresses. IP addresses are based on the location of your internet service, may not exactly be where your computer is located. Is that what you meant? Hope that clears things a bit.

The tracker is kinda funny too.
I had this one visitor, and according to GeoStats, he lived smack in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Yeah, it tracks the IP of your ISP provider, doesn't it? But that's really funny. This tracker isn't compatible with Facebook. You can't 'skin' Facebook like you can Xanga and MySpace.
