kinda gay...cause i want the url destination to the imposters who anomously come to my page. OKay we can invade ppl PRIVATE information by knowing their I.P. but we can't know a username? How intriguing
knowing the relative location of from someone's IP and knowing exactly who they are two different things.
the biggest thing is, if you know where people who might be checkin your site live, it's not all that hard to figure out who's been checking it.
this is probably the best tracker there is and it's easy to use.

Could anyone see your tracker info still even when you put it on private? Like the creators of this site or members of this site? Because I deleted mine because I got 2 unsual people visiting my myspace who are under anonmyous and are from a distant area. (My Myspace is on private.) Another question is, does the tracker still track when someone can't enter your myspace because its on private?
Thanks in Advance.

That's what I've been doing. I have a list of all my friends' IPs and I DO know who they are!
I LOVE this tracker, thanks!!! I've been looking for a tracker which works on myspace for a loooooooooooooooong time. Then, I found this one and I'm VERY happy now!!!!!

this sucks. i've found trackers just like this one.
it only shows the ip addresses of where people are from
but what if you know a LOT of people from one area?
it would be hard to figure out who's who!

We cannot view their pages UNLESS they are on your list and you have already figured out their IPs.

well i found a problem... people with a router, its not tracking the proper ip. like my friend viewed it and it gave a location across the state. but my other friends with no router come out properly..

i don't think this 100% accurate. whenever my friend views my profile it says she's from texas but she lives in the same city as i do in CA. so if it gives me the wrong IP location for her then I am sure that most of the other IP locations are incorrect. the interesting part is that for some of my friends it does give the correct IP but for others it doesn't. anyone know what may be causing this?

this tracker is really awsome.
i just have one question. under the user section is it always supose to say anonymous. because for me it really doesn't "track" the person. it just shows where the person is from that has been looking at my myspace.

It's because they have routers, just like GuyMyer said.
QUOTE( Wikipedia)
... a router at home connects the Internet Service Provider's (ISP) network (usually on an Internet address) together with the LAN in the home (typically using a range of private IP addresses) and a single broadcast domain.
I also have a router and sometimes my location changes. I have dynamic IPs from two different states.
However, I think knowing the exactly location where people live is not a big deal. I want to know who has been visiting my page and I still can get this info!!! And that's what really matters!!!

anyone know if it works for ppl who try to look at it even though they arent on your friends list? so like when she clicks on me it wont let her see it, but will it show up on here saying that she tried to look at it???
does that make sense.. somebody please help me. thanks.

Quick question...does it count as a "view" if you are only looking at a persons "view more friends" section?
SarahxJoy
Jun 28 2006, 06:28 AM
It counts as a view if the page that has the tracker button on it, is visited.
So unless you are avoiding the myspace profile page itself, and only looking at the "view more friends" page, then no..it won't count.

I think there isn't much to be explained. All you'll have to do is to guess who they are. Of course you'll only be able to do that with the people on your list.
Thanks for this tracker I found out who has written an impolite message in my shout box. Well, I only could do that because I was online at that time. The person wasn't on my list but she sent me a friend request two days ago. I had to delete my shout box. I see people on myspace aren't ready for that.

also, to clarify, the tracker does not track usernames for myspace. this function is only available to xanga users. this is because with myspace, it is currently technically impossible to do that. when and if it becomes possible, i will update the code to include that feature.
Quick question would it be possible to use this (and get the user name on myspace, I know you shouldn't but who cares!!) on myspace if you use div overlays and/or iframe (iframe window on your own server so that you would be able to javascript without being filtered)??????? Just a thought, not sure if it would be possible though!!
I'm sure id myspace caught on to people doing this they would filter iframes too!!

www.myspace.com/swtrvenI really don't think it's becuase they "can't" or don't know how to make one that will track usernames...but they won't. It's against the Myspace policy and it can get your whole account deleted if they catch you using it.

First of all, this is amazing...
Next, after reading about 5 pages of this thread... oh man, people just don't get the fact that it doesn't record user names on Myspace, do they? oh my goodness. You'd think people might actually read, even just a little... anyways, sorry for the frustration you must deal with because of our fellow humans. Well, if you'd read it then you would know that it's not because the creator "can't" make it track usernames, it's against Myspace policy.
It's not the creator(s) fault. This is basically the best tracker you can get and actually does what it says it will do. I'm sure if Myspace chanegs their policy, they will adjust the tracker, until then it's just not going to happen without someone breaking Myspace's rules.

I've had this tracker for a while and it has always worked great for me! Lately though, it hasn't been tracking all my page views on myspace. I know nothing is perfect but is there any particular reason why it might suddenly be missing some page views and not others.
Also, I was curious about why the destination page is sometimes empty for some page views?
