Do you think the teacher should have been arrested? It's odd that this happened in summer school and didn't get reported for 6 months.

Well it is kinda weird that a teacher would give a student a wedgie. I mean, don't they know better than that? I think the teacher should get fired but not sent to jail.

I hate it when schools keep things under wraps. I can think of one particular, "prestigious" school that lies about their students being the top picks for college and having the best department for a certain subject. I will not name the school but I hope someday it gets uncovered.

I think something should be done to the teacher AND the school. That is inapporpriate for a teacher. A child's underwear should not be touched by a teacher. The teacher should at least be suspended without pay, being arrested seems a bit much.

unless the kid was upset about it, id on't think there's any reason to fire him, let alone arrest him. i dont know, i think we should give the teacher a little slack. it's a joke, that's all.

A wedgie might seem like a harmless joke, but really...how is it, in any way, appropriate for a teacher to do it to a child? Shouldn't he have more sense than that? What a dumbass. He should've been fired.

At my elementary school (the one I used to go to), a 2nd grade teacher got arrested and fired for putting scotch tape on a kid's mouth. The class was like, "Do it! Do it! Do it!" and laughing and then a parent walked by and called the police. I hate those stupid prudes. They just want to create drama, but they don't realize that it can really screw up someone's life. The teacher is no longer able to get a teaching job in the same district, so she's moving. It was everyone's favorite teacher too...

Back years ago, teachers would give wedgies and spank kids with paddles and everything and no one gave it a second thought... now they go to jail. Interesting.

There was an incident at my school where this gym teacher locked a girl up in a storage room and made her clean it just cause the student wasn't dressed in the appropraite gym uniform. She started crying cause she saw a cockaroach in it >< The teacher ended up getting fired i think. Im not sure. Some people said that she was going through stress cause she was pregnat and she was a gym teacher having to deal with half of the school.

I'd love to hear the story behind this case, because it's got to be pretty good. Generally speaking, 41-year-olds don't go around giving wedgies, so I imagine there must be more to the story than meets the eye.

I think the punishment is a bit overboard—the teacher should only be arrested if it was an atomic wedgie, because those have been known to kill a man.

yeah..i volunteered at a child day care center during the summer and we had to help the kids pull up their parents after they finished peeing..

also..i volunteered at a summer camp with 2nd graders..and all the camp counselors (us) were "flirting" or..playing around with this lil 7 yr old boy they thought were cute.. so they kept giving him wedgies...

but we didnt get in trouble b/c we were girls..and we were..15 ish at the time..so i guess ppl thought it was ok.

but a 40 yr old guy should know better..

The teacher shouldn't be grabbing the child's underwear in the first place. Although it was a bit odd for the teacher to do something like that, I don't think it went so out of hand that she should have gotten arrested.

i agree that it's totally inapropriet for not only a teacher but an adult in general to give a child a wedgie.... but meh... there are certain things that could make the event much worse or slightly more acceptable. Like do the kid and the teacher know each other? Does the teacher like the kid on a *pedaphilic* level? Was the teacher joking with the kid? How'd the kid feel about all of that? (probably not that well because he obviously told his mother... or maybe they were sitting at the breakfast table and he was like ":giggle: ... and then Mr. Whatever came into the bathroom and :giggle: - i didnt even notice him, Mom - and he gave me the most extreme wedgie ever!" and Mom went )

but she came after me.
anyways,
we asked her what school she came from,
and she told us.
she also told us a bunch of funny stories,
mostly about this one teacher.
and the very last one was about him getting arrested for doing Meth.
Everyone couldn't stop laughing because she had talked about this guy so much that we felt like we knew him.
