this monday, (april 10th) at 8/9 c on ABC, theyre showing the new remake of the 10 commandments. aparently, naveen andrews from "lost" is on it.
also, theres two parts of it. one is on monday and the other is on tuesday. its at the same time the next day as well for the conclusion.
personally, my favorite "bible" story was the one of moses so i probably am going to watch it.
anyone else?

I'll probably avoid that like I would avoid a collective curse of rivers of blood, frogs, lice, flies, pestilence, boils, a storm, locusts, darkness, and the death of the firstborn.

Yah i saw a preview for it, I mean i love the old version. It still wows me. I haven't watched it in forever, However I'm scared they are just going to ruin this remake; so i probably won't see it unless I hear it's really good.

In terms of story and visuals, the first one, with Charleton Heston, was pretty good for the time it was made. I'm not that religious, though, and I don't watch TV, so I won't be watching this one.

Eh, I never had the patience to sit through
The Ten Commandments, I probably won't sit through this one either, even though Naveen Andrews is really really really hot.

Well, just because you are agnostic doesn't mean you
have to rail against religion.

Yeah, it also doesn't mean that a religious story can not be found to be entertaining. Or, that literature or cinema influenced heavily by said mythologies can't be valuable. Heck, I'm an atheist and I own the Criterian Collection DVD of
The Last Temptation of Christ. It's just a good movie.
But, I never really liked Exodus anyways. So, I'll be missing this one.

so i just finished seeing part one and ive gotta say that its better than the first one. much better. in the old version, it was hard to concentrate because the quality of the movie was so bad and it was in the late 1950's so obviously their film "skills" werent that great.
