I'm in the advanced classes in school, so naturally i'm in classes w/ all the unattractive geeks. They're nice and everything, but i would never go out w/ any of them. How do you tell if a geek, or any type of guy for that matter, talks to you and is nice to you just to be your friend or if they just want to get a gf.

I've never thought about this before, LOL.
I think that you should not think too much about that.
Just be friends with them, and if you like them, then yay.
I think that if a guy talked to you just to hook up, you would notice it.
Like if he immediently jumped to the topic of bfs and gfs
or like he's always tlaking about perverted things or something.
That's only my opinion.

Comparing :

A friend will JUST be there to talk to you when your down.
A crush will hear about it and give something to you to make you feel better.

A friend wouldn`t be running to you when he look`s at the notice board and see`s the word "PROM"
A crush would be running for his life to ask you to the prom.

A friend would walk you to the prom.
A crush would drive a limo.

Anyway..I don't think it's too hard to notice when someone likes you..usually, when someone likes you, they sorta, ya know, go out of their way to do things for you, or to talk to you.

I mean sure some are really into you and means so, cause they can act odd around you.

It's going to depend for different guys. We can't just make one statement that's going to cover what every guy is thinking.

I personally think it is almost impossible to tell the different. In my experiences, I guess the guy trying to get a piece of ass is just a little too nice.

Heh. I'm in the advaanced classes too, and some guys are pretty cute. Hm, I think it kinda depends on a guy. Flirting? Touching? A sudden change of the way he acts towards you.

I guess you would notice some kind of shyness. I can't guarantee it happens to all guys, but around the person I like I'm usually shy.

hm. Its weird, my AP classes are consist of some of the most popular guys in my school, probably the most arrogant guys you'll know. (football captain, basketball players, ect..)

But but...here's how to tell if a guy likes you or not. (some are not always right)

-he talks to you more than other girls
-looks at you for a long time (and you can tell from the corner of your eyes)
-give you more attention than usual
-tell you his problems
-smiles at you when he don't usually smiles
-offer help in something (homework, book carrying)

guys usually act normal and smooth around just friends and when guys like girls they kinda fumble sometimes and act differently and sometimes get nervous and just kinda choke lol or they could just kinda play around with u like by joking with u and making u get close to them and make u laugh

when a guy likes you, he will say that you're beautiful or pretty...not hot and/or cute. he'll be nervous around you, or be the complete opposite and try to impress you and get your attention in the stupidest ways. i know that my boyfriend was scared to say the wrong things when we started to like each other; and he would stare at me from across the room and look away when i notice. i think that most, if not all guys, act differently around the girl that they like because they want them to like them back.
