ok so here is the scenerio

There is this girl, Laura, in my geometry class, who comes up to me and asks me whether i had a boyfriend.

I said no.

She tells Chris, this other guy in the class who sits in front of her, "See I told you! Go talk to her. Don't be shy."


What is the deal here?

Well, it sounds like he likes you. Maybe he's a nice guy - you should get to know him. What can it hurt? You'll get a relationship? I mean, come on! That's not bad, is it?!

This is probably what happened:

Chris said to Laura, "Hey, that girl over there's kind of cute. I wonder if she has a boyfriend." Laura said, "You should go talk to her." Chris replied, "I don't know, what if she has a boyfriend." So Laura asked.

... i find that weird cause he knows me and my personality i guess... but Laura and him (i don't think) are THAT close as in like a guyfriend kinda thing... i don't know...

what do you guys suggest me to do if he does like me? should i wait for him ask me or should i jump the gun and do it myself?

It sounds like he likes you, so you should just "jump the gun" and do it yourself. If I'm correct, you don't like him, so you aren't exactly going to be heartbroken if he rejects.

i asked my friend to ask one of his friends to ask him if he liked anyone.

i guess im a little too shy to jump the gun now and i didn't want to assume so i did that

I think her problem is she's afraid to reject the guy cuz she might feel bad and she doesn't want to embarrass herself by assuming.

Well do you like him? I'm pretty sure by the thing Laura said that he has the hots for you. I think you should get to know him better, give him a chance before thinking of having anything more than friendship.
