Did anybody here anything new about the SIDEKICK III ? there are a lot of things going around and I actually have been waiting for it to come out cause i dont wanna upgrade my phone until it comes out.

To be honest I was never really into the Sidekick. I didn't really like it that much, I'd prefer getting the Blackberry or the Treo.

If you have T-mobile, then get the Samsung SGH-D870, or the Sony Ericsson W950i if you want a good phone. Infact, anyphone kicks the Sidekicks ass. It's like a gay version of the N-gage.

I'm actually looking foreward to getting the Samsung SGH-T509, it can replace this crappy Razr.

People LOVE inferior Products.

There are a billion good mp3 players out there, yet people KILL to get an iPod.

There are Fast PC's out there, yet people want MACS.

You can get a Pizza for a quarter for 25 cents, yet people still choose to buy another pizza for over 11 dollars. (Papa Johns)

You can get an round trip to florida for 50-75 Dollars. Yet People spend OVER 300 dollars for the exact same thing, just so they can leave and go whenever they want.

If they do good with advirtisements and promotions, then it's why people want it. Most of these products may not be the best, but they all have it where it counts.

Will the camera be better?

I personally think the Danger SK2 was a step up from the original one, but this one looks smaller and more well.. compact. I like how it looks, because it's not entirely silver.

But what are the other improvements? I hope it's not a VGA camera Maybe I'll check up on the specs later. I will NEVER get a Sidekick only because I don't feel the need for one. Texting isn't my thing... I'd rather make phone calls.

Now I can finally talk about Samsung phones...
I want a phone that has a lot of features. Eddie (no fear), the sgh-T509 looks pretty cool, but I'm not liking the VGA cameras. Also, there is no expandable memory. Although, it's nice that it's really really thin, I'm more into flip phones. But it does look nice. Of course, we can't be too superficial, what with better and better phones coming out.

uLoVeMikeRoch - Yea, American phones do suck. The Samsung D870 looks very nice -- it's like, the new D600. First there was the D415, then the D500, then the D600, and now there's going to a be D870? Wow.. :D 3.2 MP camera.. I like, I like. I like the appearance of the e900 (yet to be released.. I really want it T_T ), but the features of the D870 is awesome. I hope T-Mobile doesn't release those phones only because if they do, they'll alter the OS in the phone and make it crappy (it happened to the D600, but with a different company somewhere overseas.. Horrible...)

Does anyone have a phone with EDGE? I heard the speed of it is pretty fast, but I have yet to try it out. Boo US phone companies.

My uncle works in the cellphone industry, basically he's the representative of Thailand for different cellphone companies. He's worked in Nokia, Sony Ericson, Samsung, and LG. He is currently working in Motorola, and he said out of all the companies he's worked with, Motorola is by-far the worse.

THere are airlines in mostly city areas that have services like this. I know there are airlines in Philly that have roundtrip prices like this.

The d870 has been offically renamed as the d900, I think. The d900 also now comes with Quad-Band, instead of Tri. So basically, there could be 2 versions.

Theres also the z510, or something like that. Supposedly the new "Blade", but for GSM phone companies. Wait, it's already been out, nevermind...

Theres also the new SK telecom Helio, but that only works for it's own service. Not the Usual GSM (T-Mobile.) or the CDMA (Sprint/Verizon), but it supposedly is run on it's own service. I wanted it, but after reading that...

my friend just got it. i really wanted her to get it before i did so i could check it out. i think the best edition on the sidekick is the trackball but the camera isnt that great. i think i am just going to stick with my samsung t509. lol. i dunno if i will switch to sidekick anytime soon. i was really excited but the only additions that stand out are the mp3 player and the trackball.

Umm... I have a regular LG phone. lol.
I want one! I remember when they first came out, they weren't really a big deal here, but one of the "privileged" girls I went to school with got hers all done up like Paris Hiltons.

I used to really want one, but now that I've seen it in real life... I'm a little disappointed. Nothing special about it. At all. And the camera sucks.

On a related note, Saw III is coming out soon, too.

Actually Ryan, you'll probably see the SKIII out with other service providers very soon. At least, that's what Alltel told me. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Alltel didn't say they were gonna get it but they didn't tell me who was.

Yea i heard that too, and motorola is going to work with danger to make the skinnier version of the sidekick. I saw some real mockups which look crazy. i dunno if this is all true but thats what i heard.
