what do you expect in a relationship physically, mentally, and emotionally?

Well to me, relationships are to boost up my feelings towards life.

(i haven't been in a relationship yet, sadly. but this is what i'd want... theoretically)

physically... well i want to save sex for marriage, so there isn't that much left. no 'touching' or w.e. but hugging and kissing are fine?

mentally- they have to sort of help keep me calm and less stressed, through school and problems...

emotionally- they have to be able to cheer me up, or at least be able to emphasize (i think that's the word) with me.

I expect a commitment, a connection, fun, intimacy, and a future.

A chance to improve and grow as a person. Relationships really help one discover a lot about oneself.

I want a companion that will lift my spirits and help me get through my problems and of course I'll return the favor. I want someone that can be my partner in crime unconditionally and we can help support each other.

I basically want what mipadi and Paradox of Life said. I want someone who brings out the best in me.

Someone who opens your eyes and make your into a better person.

I expect in a relationship. . . .

EQUALITY

&& there's nothing more to say.. a relationship is giving && recieving the same amount of everything on both parts.. If one person wants to give more than what the other has given one dayy then that's romantic.. but the other person shouldn't leave the other person hanging.. The other person should make it up to them some day some how the nexxt time..

well, i've never been in a relationship.

but i would have to say trust, honesty, faithfulness, respect and humor.

Trust

I expect to have a partner who will be with me through everything, happiness and sadness, trust, understanding and undying love. If these a e not there then u can be sure that it will not last long coz there many phases of life which are not always filled with joy.

something that grows with me, motivates me and keeps me feeling alive...
someone I can have serious talks and lots of fun with, who i can trust and connect with...

i think might have found him...but I won't know for sure for another 10+ years...

until then, im gonna enjoy whatever/whomever comes my way

Passion, I don't mean passion like sex, but just for someone to love me and care about me, otherwise it wouldn't really be a relationship.

Honesty, I want honesty because a relationship doesn't go anywhere without honesty.
I also want someone to make me feel secure, feel that I am good enough, feel loved.
Someone I can love back easily, & someone i can easily talk to.

I expect no sex till marrige, but a fun time. Hugs for sure and some kissing.

They should be able to make you laugh, just be able to hang out as friends as well, and never make you upset or make you cry.

They should always be there for you, through thick and thin and never let you go.

A view on life that I've never seen. I want to feel better about myself, knowing somebody cares about me. And there needs to be a lot of good times, trust and honesty.

What if you had everything but gifts?

Commitment, Honesty, Passion, Funny, Fun to be around... you know, all the typical stuff.
There is alot I expect, but whenever Im asked I always go braindead and cant think of anything. hahaha

what i expect in a relationship, is happy moments, Staying true, love-ness, caring for one and another, and being there for each other. Well there's more but these are the main things i really expect in a relationship

basically i want a little bit of what everyone else has said.

- someone who can be my partner in crime;;

- someone who will not pressure me sexually
- someone who i can argue with one moment and hug the next
- simply someone who's willing to treat me the right way and be there for me to love and grow up with;; i'm looking for a sweetheart with a bit of an edge ;]

I expect dinner on the table every night at 6 o'clock sharp.

physically: no sex til marriage....a guy that understands why and my feelings as to why and doesnt pressure me but looks forward to what we might have later on. hugging is perfectly ago...i'm an affectionate person and i love to cuddle and hug. kissing is perfectly ok as long as it doesnt get intense enough to lead to sex.

emotional- loyalty trust passion and faithfulness are all things that i think must be there. i dont expect my guy to be perfect but he's gotta show that hes at least trying... i want him to love me for who i am and not for how i look. he needs to respect what i want and not bother me about anything that i say a straight no too

When it comes to the word "girlfriend" I think of a girl thats my friend. See I wanna girl thats gonna be cool with me. I really like girls that are smart, thats the most sexiest thing is a woman with brains. With me being with a girlfriend it don`t have to be love or sex. It can be someone that jus come over and I can kick it wit. I`m the type of nigga that really cares about his girlfriend. I go all out for her if I have too. But thats me. I would like someone who loves to be competitive, Loves to have conversations on a more intellectual level but still keeps it Hood, someone to put up with my apathitic mood swings, Not so much into her looks, and someone who loves shoes jus as much as I do! thats a good girl to me.

I needs a girl who ain`t gonna lie to me. We can have a clean healthy relationship with one another. I don`t want her to always depend on me for everything, she can hold her own. I want a honest and smart female in my life and when we break up we can still stay the best of friends. Because I`m the type of nigga that care for my female and I`ll give her just as much respect as she give me. I`m very committed and I go all out for my girl but I do get jealous Sorry but I am the jealous type. I don`t like to see my girl huggin on another nigga every time I turn around I gets real mad. But when It comes to girls I really not that picky though.
