My Boyfriend and I have been going out for a little over three months and monday night i told him that i was going to try out for color guard for our high school. And he got a little upset and then yesterday he sent me email explaining everything. And he told me that he won't trust me like he does know because i will be in band. He has lost two girlfriends becuase they started band and broke up with me. Is it okay for him to ti trust as much just because I'm going to join band?

this is weird..he should trust you if you're relationship is going well and you seem commited to him. maybe before you try out for band, try to earn as much trust out of him. you should talk to him more about it since communication is the key to relationship. maybe it's the people that are in band that's bothering him?

talk to him about it, reassure him that everything's going to be fine
he's probably just taking precautions because he's lost two gfs because they joined band.

Make an effort to make him feel secure when you join band. Act like it's all normal. Don't make a big deal out of it. And don't talk about what's happening in band with him because he might being to stress out. Don't make any promises ("Nothing's going to happen because I joined band!") because he may build his hopes up to get shot down (and lose trust in you even more).

^^Agreed.
But I have an idea. Maybe you can encourage him to try out for band too? Just a thought..

That's a little strange..you just don't to try to get him relax and explain to him that the other girls joining band and breaking up with him were just coincidences..at least I hope they were?

Band really doesn't seem like the most relationship-challenging thing to engage in to me...

He's just worried because his experiences with girlfriends joining band hasn't been that positive. Just reassure him you won't forget about him—and then make sure to follow through on your word.
