Windows XP Service Pack 2 Beta
On February 24, 2004, Microsoft issued the second major beta release of the newly revised Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). This build includes some new features, including the Security Center dashboard, which monitors the overall security of your system. Here are some screenshots from the new build. no, just a service pack. it fixes the mistakes that microsoft tends to make, because they can't get it right the first time, then they take millions of years to fix it. longhorn is coming out in 2006 i think

I was wondering what happened to longhorn.
My friend d/l the beta and he couldn't get XP back up.
He downgraded to 98.

tell him to give linux a try. i suggest one of the newbie friendly distro's like redhat or mandrake. or knoppix for a live eval.
