im just wondering who watches them .. and what kind of horse is your favorite ..

i dont watch horse races.
they sound boring lol

No, I don't really enjoy watching animals being whipped by a rider so other people can either win or lose money if the horse wins or loses.

And plus, it seems kind of boring.

Meh I agree with people who said it looks boring, but horse-back riding is truly fun. I got to horse raise with my friend from Greenwich (it's a town) and it really is fun. Besides, we get to pet the horse and stuff! It's just boring when you watch it in TV =/

They're a bunch of horses running in circles while a bunch of men in tights make cracky noises with their whips... and people bet on them. I don't find it very exciting.

No, I don't watch it. But I do enjoy horse back riding.

My mom watches them all the time. I grew up going to horse tracks and being surrounded by plastic cups and small white tickets. Oh, and those large stairs in race tracks like Santa Anita in California. My mom is always screaming at the television, too..
She would make it an excuse whenever she would get something for a ticket to "something free if you go on x day" so she could go.

The actual thing, though, annoys me, and I've always told my mom "I don't like that the horses are whipped" and "It must hurt" I want the whip. It looks cool... I'd always get told to "shut up" since I was always saying things to piss her off..

i thought it would be boring too .. but since my boyfriend runs them ... ive gotten more into them .. and i guess its different if you have ur own horse that races and u get money for it .. and to let u kno .. the whip doesnt hurt them .. they hit them where you would tap them with your feet to get them to run .. its actually harmless unless the horse breaksdown and you have to put it asleep right there on the race track- kinda sad .. but once they brea a leg .. there carreer is over ..
