I love metal, almost any kind. I like Death metal, Speed Metal, Doom metal, Viking metal, Goth metal, Black metal, heavy metal, Power metal, Electronic metal, Industrial metal, Melodic death metal, Melodic black metal, Thrash metal...ect. I also like trance, Electronica stuff, techno... uhhm, classical... but no rap.

Yeah, death metal is the best! My friends find it annoying, but I find it very artistic. The lyrics are awesome and the guitars are amazing.

It's just so intense, and I love that.

pretty much all metal guitars are kickass. The problem with metal is when you can't understand the singing because they sound like they are choking on something, or they sound like satan. I like metal bands like Iron Maiden, old Metallica, and new stuff like Dream Evil.

As long as they can sing.

I only like some types of metal.
But I do like Slipknot.

I like metal of all types. Industrial and synthpop as well....I don't claim a favorite genre though.

As for people who like inventing genres....kudos for inventing deathpop. I definately say that Orgy, Vanity Beach, and other slower, sythn-driven bands are just plain ol' synthpop, like their old school counterparts Depeche Mode, New Order, Duran Duran (to some extent), The Cure (somewhat) and many others....

My thoughts on death metal: I don't like it much. Only certain bands do it well. The rest just suck...those bands that do it well: Kataklysm, Death, Cryptopsy, Morbid Angel, Six Feet Under (infrequently) and Slayer (sometimes)....everyone else is just crap compared to these bands...

Those are my opinions....

I listen to a lot of metal, since it gets me into a certain type of mood.

I used to LOVE rock, but then not enough of the bands played fast, hard, loud songs that satisfied me.
So, when my friend got me into Metallica,
I started to relize the world of Metal.
Now, it's really the only thing I listen to. heh

yeah I am a fan of 80's metal and some metal today, Children of Bodom is one hella of a Metal band, Fast Riffs, Fast solos, and it's koo, I've recently started listening to Metal about 6 years ago listening to Metallica - Master of Puppets, then iron Maiden, Scorpions, Guns N' Roses, Van Halen then eventually got into Power Ballads. and yeaa

What would korn count as? I think HEAVY metal?

Screamo is a mixture of screaming and singing such as Hawthorne Heights, From First To Last, Atreyu, ect..
