actually I think some stupid government is gonna do something stupid and either nuke some one or disturb the balance of the earh's axis and we are going to go spinning off the planet OR its going to fall out of orbit and we will be sucked into the sun. ((Yes I am serious about this))

If America and the other countries actually survive through the new modern times we will have to go through, like developing even worse bombs, trying to rule through machines, or anything like that, the Earth will eventually be incinerated by the sun because it will explode.
But we will probably kill ourself off.

You realize that the pollution percentage is decreasing every year? And that soon, when we lose our fossil fuels, we will depend on water cars. What resources will we lack?

what he means from 'fall' is that the earths going to lose it's rotation around the sun and we'll go near the sun and be fried like eggs on a saturday morning.

actually, the moon is drifting farther away from the earth's orbit... which causes the earth's orbit to get set off balance, which will therefor cause great changes in climate... in turn killing mass numbers of life... but luckily the moon is only moving a couple inches per year...

i strongly believe a diease will plague the world... because viruses have a tendency to evolve fast... scientists might not be able to keep up... or... there might be nuclear attacks... which will make a great deal of land unable for use... the worlds population will increase, and then there will be hunger... okay... the end of the world is sooner than you think

don't think that is possible. but i heard it could blow (something about heat and pressure) and possibly send some flaming meteroids down, crashing into earth.

uh... scientists predicted that there will soon not only be two poles on the earth but many... in different places... any way... if the sun burns out... the light will still be traveling to us for a while... because the light doesn't travel that fast through space because we are millions of light years away from the sun, so even if the sun blows up we won't be seeing any change in the light for years

Hmmm. The sun is about 8 light minutes away from us. So if the sun burns out, we have about 8 minutes. But before the sun even burns out, it becomes a red giant. When that happens, it will engulf all the inner planets.
So the sun burning out isn't really our concern. We're all gonna be fried anyways.

And there can only be two poles. North and South. Take a magnet for example. YOu can't put anymore poles in it. It's just north and south. I think you meant Ice caps. Because that's more probable than adding more poles.

I've never really thought of this. My guess is the Sun will become a red giant and engulf the Earth and destroy it.

For those of you who don't know what a red giant is...
Stars go through stages. The Sun is a medium sized star which means one day it will become a star called a "red giant." That's basicly a huge ass star that turns red which means it becomes cooler. As it grows, it becomes cooler and cooler and eventually it suddenly shrinks into a tiny star and dies out.


That's probably not the best definition. We finished the astronomy unit a little while ago and I have a pretty bad memory. So yeah.

i think it's going to end from wars...cuz slowly all continents are moving north (fact) so there will be tons of wars over territory...or from natural disasters...

an asteroid is gonna be headed our way and we're all gonna die but the aliens come and save us and we go start a new society on some alien planet.

1. We collide with Andromeda and get sucked into a Black hole
2. We kill ourselves because we're prone to doing shit like that.

5. Meteors
6. Asteroids (If you've ever seen Armageddon, you know what we have to do)

Out of all of these, I go with number 2. We're just too f'cking stupid. It's inevitable.
