Sorry, I accidently made the title of the Poll, Victorian. Victorian was supposed to be a choice - if you chose victorian or other please say so!

In my opinion, I think that you should do a musical themed layout, maybe a band of some sort.

Hmm.. Musical and tropical sound pretty good. Maybe a band layout or something involving paradise? *shrug*

Hmm. I agree with Tina. Maybe you could do a mix between the two, like have a band on top of a tropical background maybe? Or you could do something of that sort.

Personally, I don't think you should be asking for advice on this sort of thing. I think you should just go with the flow, it is your site afterall. For each of the layouts you scrap, you'll always end up with one that you love to death. By the by, your choices are weird. If anything, I'd tell you to go with something you love more thn air and think up a theme. It's more fun like that. It's always more fun when you have so much fun making the layout that you never want to take it down.

I fixed the poll and added Victorian as a choice.

I chose other.. I suggest something that you think is fun or enjoyable.. Bold colors, maybe vintage or retro. I don't know, but it should reflect your personality since it is a personal site.

Since you're just starting out (I saw your post in Website Showcase), you'll soon realize that you'll end up making several layouts before you get one you really like. So just experiment, it's good for you as a designer because you'll continue to get better with each one. :)

And since you put up the choices, they're all obviously things you'd like to do, right? So just go down the list in order of which you'd enjoy the most, it'll give you a chance to experiment a little bit with different stuff.
