ok heres what u do:

open up imageready (it comes w/ most photoshop versions)

and open up ur file

now add more layers, the same amount as the colors u want it to change

next fill each layer with the desired color. set each layer with a color to blending mode:
"color"

now, in the animation window, in the first slide hide all but one color layer and ur picture

make a new slide and change hide all but the next color and ur picture. highlight both of the slides and click the "tween" button. when the tween options window appears, check all the boxs and make sure the drop menu thing has "selected frames" highlighted (or something to that extent)

now in the number of frames to add, that number is up to you, i suggest 3-4 frames depending on how smooth u want to have it change.

repeat that with all the colors until u get to the last one... with the last color, select the last frame and click the tween button. now when the window opens, instead of tweening w/ the selected two frames (b/c u have but one frame selected and u want the animation to run smoothly) select tween "with first frame"

thats it... now SAVING the .gif file

go to File>Save OPTIMIZED AS....a> and save it as a .gif file!!

if that doesnt help ask more questions
