Well, which is better, Anime or Manga? I personally like the artistic form of the manga, but the animated aspect of Anime. To me, it's a pretty tough choice. Why substitute the artistry for the action.... hmmm... I think I'd have to go with Anime... since it's free on TV and I'm feeling lazy right now.

I perfer both. because manga of course is faster than the usual anime so I can just read ^^. But I like black and white once in a while. And I love anime because I just love seeing the movement and the action unlike manga where it skips ^^

I really couldn't choose between the two. I love both. Anime adds a whole new dimension to the story, with the colors and sounds/music. However, the artwork seems to lose a bit of it's integrity. For that, I look to manga. The detail that the mangakas put into their work is astounding. I love it.

^ I'm with Naomi and voted both. I also want to add that sometimes manga allows you to use your imagination more - like what *you* think they'd sound like, what types of interactions off page you *don't* see, etc...

Yeah, I should have voted for both. I find that manga images do lots better with web graphics - the picture is high quality and the artistry is unrivaled.

i like the anime because it has audio and animation and stuff. but i like the manga, cause sometimes its more updated than the manga, and portable and gives you and extended mind for reading.

I like em both sometimes the story in the anime is different from the manga but it still falls in the same plot line(or is it the other way around?). I like different view on the same thing.

I really wish Anime followed the manga storyline - but then again, some of those storylines are a bit dirty.

i like manga more... i dont know why, i guess i'm just weird like that.

I like manga. It just has more of thte story in it and it usually lasts longer

Manga. I just like reading more first of all.

But anime..just gets bothersome after a while. Constantly playing the same music. It's like, you know a battle is gonna happen or something's going down whenever they play a certain music. =P

And plus they're so overly dramatic {Not that they're not dramatic in manga, but I'd rather read drama than listen to it.}; like when someone is dying, they constantly repeat their name. It's like, get on with it kthx.

I like both. Personally I like to listen and not read but manga`s are interesting. The anime and manga is different not a lot just a little so it`s like they`re own story. Some manga`s have black and white picture`s which I can learn to draw but other`s are just as colorful as the anime

There are actually SOME anime that follow the manga's storyline. I've seen a couple, but it's out there. :DD

To answer the question, I actually prefer the anime. Even though I'm limited to what I can imagine, I still know some decent anime that will make me experience tons of emotions, even some that can make me cry. ;__;

I like anime. There's the music and sound effects that you can't get from manga. Some versions of characters also look better-to me-in the animated version. For instance, I love the anime series Trigun. The manga version...not so much. I also like the animated version of Escaflowne more than the manga. With X/1999, I love the music in the animated version. I both the manga and anime version of X/1999.

I like the manga better because it's faster to read than to watch the anime and I get mad if a voice doesn't sound right on the anime. The artwork looks better too.

Definitely manga. Although I DO LOVE watching anime, manga contains all the necessary information. Plus, what if there's a blackout? What if my cable service/provider was cancelled, as well as my internet? At least my manga will still be there! Even if it does cost a lot overtime, in the long run, I think it will last longer.. :P


Plus, the artwork in mangas are far better than the graphics in anime. Just because anime is in color and is well.. animated, doesn't really matter to me, and neither do the voices. And man, in many dubbed animes on tv nowadays, the voices are horrible lol.

I like both manga and anime.

But there are a lot of times when I like anime better, 'cause it goes more into detail and the manga leaves out a lot of parts compared to the anime. Like how I can be on the seventh episode of an anime, and yet it'll be like the third issue in the manga version. Aiiee.

Oh manga, most deff. Of course, Anime does tend to produce really great shows as long as it isn't based off a manga. Anime tends to ruin it, just like movies and books.

i like both. but i think manga delves deeper into plots,relationships, and has a better story, in contrast to anime which may cut out some key scenes that would make a scene more plausible or detailed as in manga. oh and anime seems shorter.

I prefer manga. I really like looking at the artwork and the extra illustrations. Plus, if an anime is based on a manga, most/some of the time it'll end at a point that it not at the end of the manga. There's also the fact that manga is less expensive, in a way.

i say both, because watching you are watching anime, its like you are in the anime itself. you get that feeling when the character does something. manga is awesome too, because you get to keep the manga after you read it or something.. lol. its all cool.

I don't think that either is really better than the other; it's just about if you prefer to read or watch. It's fun seeing the characters come to life in anime, but I like reading manga much more.

Manga's more detailed when it comes to the story in most anime. Not to mention the art's a lot better to. But the voice actors and chibi scenes make anime a whole lot better. So i donno. Depends I guess.

ouhhhhh...this is tough. I think both of them are equally entertaining! When I don't have a TV available, I just go to Borders or Barnes & Nobles and sit and read a stack of manga.

Even though I favor both because I tend to watch more anime than read manga.

Hmm... Probably manga, coz it's the absolute REAL story. no filler really... You het the ORIGINAL story... The only reason I put not sure is coz I like hearing the voices and movement of the characters in anime, but I'm absolutely in LOVE with the Hunter x Hunter Manga even though Yoshihiro hasn't released in a long time... Get well soon, Yoshihiro-sensei! I'm still praying for you!

I like well drawn manga, and i HATE HATE HATE english anime.. so I will have to go with , with.. manga. (and japanese anime) dude this is hard.

Nowdays i prefer Anime over Manga. If i'm into something like BECK or Nodame Cantabile, i'd watch and be able to hear the show. Same goes for action, i'd rather watch the anime version of it. But manga's style of drawing is what i prefer more than anime.
