I found this layout here on createblog, and I was wondering how do I make the brown swirl above the words "exotic"? I use Adobe Photoshop.

I'd say pen tool. You could make something very similar with that... -shrug- You could also just draw it with the polygonal lasso tool and fill it with brown or whatever.
