in my school, health is the bomb. wink.gif

That doesn't even make sense blink.gif

..then again, you also just said "the bomb"

How does that not make sense..?

Anywho. I took health last year. It was easy and all, but the tests were hard. Like, you had to memorize certain things, like, list the five aspects of this or seven of that.

If that makes any sense.
Statues/Shadows
How in the hell is health more fun than band?

Yeah, that makes no sense. Not the sentence itself.

I took online health this summer, because I really didn't feel like subjecting myself to 18 weeks of that crap.

IB Senior year blows:

IB TOK 2
IB 20th Century History
IB Chemistry III
IB Biology III
IB Math Methods
IB English V
Health Careers Honors
(Those are the only IB Classes my school offers to IB Seniors. It sucks. I want Physics, not English!)

&

Chemistry 111

Oh, wow. my school's probabvly the larget IB school in the state, but that isn't saying much. We have about 2,800 students total, and not many of them take IB classes; far fewer, full diploma.

oh, I guess that's probably about the same then, except that you have it as two distinctly different classes while ours is made to be a 2 year course. In APUSH, we're in the 30s now, though, so I bet they probably won't get to the 20th century this year. I guess that would also be why my friend who didn't take the IB history class this year is going to be allowed to take next year's half. I know what you mean about looking foward to learning about more recent events; while I enjoy reading books set in the colonial period, I find learning that history really dull, whereas I'm able to pay better attention now since it's more interesting.

We only have 20 IB Seniors this year, and it's the largest IB class at our school ever. Probably only 10 will get the diploma, though. Everyone has to have all IB classes. I can't believe you guys get to choose which ones to take. The only choice we have is Spanish or German, but we finish that up Junior Year.

Maybe the class itself is just generally fun. Maybe the teacher's a cool guy/girl.

I know my geometry class last trimester was a lot of fun, because of the people I had in it. And it was geometry.
Statues/Shadows
You never know who's going to be in your class, though. I've had classes with teachers who were great, funny, and should have had really fun classes that I just couldn't enjoy as much as I should have because I wasn't fond of the people in the class. It's all relative, but at least with band there's some consistancy, and unless the directors just suck, there should be guarenteed positive aspects to it.

Assuming one enjoys playing a musical instrument in the first place. If one enjoys learning about health more than one enjoys learning about music, it's clear to see why someone would like health more.
Statues/Shadows
yeah, but then you have to take common sense into consideration. I don't actually care about playing musical instruments much at all. I like it in theopry, but it's just not my thing like it is for my friends. However, no middle schooler actually enjoys learning health unless they have actual sex education in which they can her things that make them giggle.
ranniel
Doesn't make sense? blink.gif Well in my school its just that way, health is really fun. Trust me, my school makes band seem like its all that when its not. whistling.gif

That's a pretty big generalization. I don't see what's so hard to fathom about students having different tastes.
Statues/Shadows
oh, I'm fine with whatever people want to do. I've just been arguing for the sake of it, even though I didn't have anything worthwhile to say.
ranniel
I just don't think Suzzette should've quit.
Statues/Shadows
Eh, I can understand why she did. While everyone in my band thinks they want to be in hers everytime we see them, they're so good because of all the time they put into it. It's understandable that if you don't really like it, you wouldn't want to waste all your time doing it (although they do have twice as many band members as us, so there must be something worthwhile in it, besides winning things and all that).

See, Michael, I can fully recognize that people have varying tastes.

Hell, we even have AP art.
nothing wrong with ap art. we have it at my school and im taking it. there are a lot of artistic kids in my school which is surprising because its mostly hicks.

im also taking band, but i dont know what ill be playing next year since i havent played the same thing in marching band throughout the 3 years of it.
Statues/Shadows
I'd take AP art if they didn't require you to take art prerequisites first.
cheerbee07

ranniel
AP is really hard to maintain for me as of now. It's always homework now that TAKS is coming up, there's not a TAKS for Texas History - yet we have some much to do in that damn class. wink.gif
Statues/Shadows
Waitwaitwait. Weren't you in middle school? How in the hell do you have AP classes?
ranniel
oh sorry about that, make the PreAP.

My tentative schedule for next semester:
