THere are lots of inventions...all worthy like the smae amount.

I would say computer though.

It connects people all aorund the world, it is used in factories, schools, remmeber y2k? everyone was scared of the world ending because of our computers not set to the date or something.

To me, it's the internet.. yay Bill Gates! Oh wait, he DID invent the internet, right? THat's what Timmy said in Fairly OddParents ANd also microsoft, i guess... lol =P

Because of that I'm gonna have to go with the computer. I mean sure, we harnessed electricity and everything, but we never really put it to good use until we invented the computer. Our lives are pretty much run by computers now.

Yes, we simply discovered and harnessed electricity. I think the invention of the computer is the best ever, simply because from there, it grew to invent even more greater things, and ultimately led to the Internet.

NO you have it all wrong. the internet was created by the US department of defense ARPA. that's why it was originally called the ARPA net. when the TCP/IP protocol was used rather than NCP, it became the internet that we know and love today.

The most important discovery was Newton's Laws of Motion. That's the basis of all of physics and without them we wouldn't have any of the inventions we have now, let alone have any understanding of what is going on around us.

The best invention ever is... the rubber band! It has 99 uses, and all you have to do is use your head to figure out what those uses are! Hairtie, Bracelet, A Weapon... etc!

well as far as the newest inventions (computer wise)...I would have to say the portable flash drives (usb)...they make burning things obselete!! Qiuck, easy and instant gratification!!

Electricity isnt an invention, its something we harness, and the guy who said isaac newton invented gravity was wrong.. isaac newton invented the term, he gave it a name, but you cant invent universal forces, that'd be... supercool if we could do that, lol

As for me.. distinguishing between "best" and "most important" the most important would probably be either a. the wheel or b. the printing press, and the best, the computer and the internet, oh and badminton too

i'd say, the print press. without the print press, ideas wouldn't be spread to the general public, or at least a lot ofpeople, because they'd have to write itout manually or do speeches.
