Soooo, my computer crashed and I had to re-install everything.

My friend told me if I plug my iPod into the computer now that there's nothing in iTunes, it'll delete everything off my iPod.

I come to you to tell me if that's the truth or not?

AND, if it is, what can I do to prevent it?

Thanks.

Yes, you should import all of your music into iTunes before trying to update your iPod.

yea, that is true. dont plug it in until you download all the songs back. maybe next time you could make a cd of all yor programs just in case you comp crashes again.

If I recall, the first time you plug the iPod into a "new" computer, it should ask you if you want to udpate immediately.

Ugh, really!?

Because I don't even have half the music that's on it anymore.

^Thats why apple suggests backing up your music on something other than an Ipod.
