Okay..well..here is the story..

Even if I hate my periods and all..everybody(as in girls) has to deal with it....but lets get to the point..I'm really worried right now..I haven't had my period in 3 months..well..more specificly...the last time i had it..it was on nov. 4, 2005!

and no..i havent done sex..so i cant be pregnant...im not really into "sexual" stuff...so...it cant be that im pregenant.

i told my mom and my sisters about it..but they don't seem to really care? so..do you know whats the problem?!?!

oh..and yeah..its been a year since ive had my period already..so it has stopped being irregular like..a longgg while ago already.

Go to a doctor.

That happens to me as well. Actually, I don't get my period regularly...ever. It's just usually every couple of months (no, i don't do anything sexual). I asked a doctor about it one time, and he said that was normal for kids my age. I dunno.
love-issosweet
don't worry about it. your period is probably uneven right now but as time passes, it'll even out. just wait a little but if you think it's best if you go to the doctor, then ask your mom to take you. the doctor will probably give you pills to get your menstrual system to uhh get back running again.
CandyCorn.
If you haven't been eating properly - like you have a eating disorder, anorexia or bulimia. You skip your period for about 3 month.
If you don't have a eating disorder or your not pregenant & you know for sure that you aren't you should go see a doctor wink.gif. Or you could wait one more month & eat healthy & see if it comes.
PrincessAda
Happened to me before too.
I didn`t have mine for I think it was 4 months.
and later that 4 months..during the time when I first had it..which was around dec I had it again.
Either see a doctor or eat more.
I think it was eating that gives a healthier period.

I'm 16, almost 17, and I got my period when I was 11, but mine's still a little irregular. I usually get it at the end of a month, but this month I got it around the 15th or something. One time, I didn't have my period for a month and a half. Having your period for a year doesn't make it regular. It depends on your body and how it functions. Just make sure you're staying healthy. If you think it could be really serious, try asking your mom to set up a doctor's appointment. But I guess my advice for you right now is just try to stay healthy. Eat healthy, exercise, etc. If it still doesn't happen, then talk to your doctor.

that's what happened to my friend...you are just late...really late

you do know that it takes about 3 years to make your period regular? not just one..
Blow_Don't_SUCK
^lol I was going to say that.

Otherwise, YOU GOT RAPED
xosteffanator
^Yen don't scare her.
Just go to a docter and eat right _smile.gif don't worry you'll be fine
Paradox of Life
^ Agreed. biggrin.gif Don't hesitate to visit a doctor. 3 months is a long time. It's waaay longer than even irregular period intervals.
lovescream
Mine didnt come for 4 or 5 months. ermm.gif But everything turned out alright. I guess your irregular time was just.. longer than usual probably? I didn't visit a doctor, my mom didnt care either. But you might want to incase.
Jane Doe.
Did you say you've only had your period for about a year? If so, I think it's normal for your period to be so irregular... but if you've had for more than 2 years, then I'd get it checked out. Go to a doctor either way, really. I've had my period since I was 10, and will be turning 17, soon, and it's very unusual. I either don't get it for months and when I do, it lasts for 3 days, or 3 weeks. Eh. I should follow my own advice about it.

if you dance a lot or play a sport like 24/7 it can also happen, but more-so with the dancing. dancers are known to have a "dry spell"

yes, thats true as well. also, if youre underweight (especially if you have bulemia or anorexia) then you can miss your period.
ilauqh
Omg.. you are soo me. I got my period the first time and it came back the next month. It didn't come back until a whole year later. And I eat fine and nothings wrong except that I am a dancer so it might have something to do with it.

I went to a specialized doctor and she said if it was still not coming 6 months later to come back and visit again.

Basically, just keep your eye on it and if it's a really long time, tell your mom that you really want to see someone about it. And don't worry since periods are usually irregular the first couple of years anyway.
sweetxxdreamz
It's probably because one of your hormones are like high in level....i dunno what i just said but yeah that's what i just said...>< i forget what the hormones are called but if you have just one of them, you'll get your period everyday, and if your other hormone level is high u dont get your period etc....
misoshiru
it just happens. i have a friend who gets her period basically once every 2 years.
AnnahhbeL
i cant help you.
i didnt get my period yet and i'm 13.

^Then why are you replying....

But anyways....my friends think im stressed out..but i somehow find myself to be "okay"..but at moments i kind of feel like i am...i DO have a lot of homework..and i struggle to keep up with everything and stuff..

what are some signs that you are being stressed out? because im really confused if im being stressed our..or just lazy..lol..

i noticed i've been eating differently lately..like, i havent been eating correct meals..and all i really do is eat a snack, and then start working on my homework, etc. but then at night i eat a full meal..so..would that delay my period?

i haven't been sick since october...so i dont think its because of that.
5ayuri
Go see a doctor. I think I needa do that too cuz I haven't gotten mine since Jan.
sunissed14127
Your just irregular, like everyone else said. You'll be fine, as long as your not sexually active _smile.gif
lovely_mystery
It can also be from stress. You should go see a doctor, as your doctor would be more experienced with giving you an answer.
chinke3xcuti3
when you go to a doctor? what will the doctor do to check you?!?!

calm down your ? and !'s.

they'll probably just ask some questions, maybe look at your vagina. you dont go to a regular doctor for that, you go to the OB/GYN.
iDecay
I'm like that, too. My doctor told me to eat the dark part of chicken. ermm.gif

EDIT//
I mean dark. pinch.gif
michigandergurl1392
it might be stress. stress causes ur period to not come. for me i moved then my dog had died. i was off of mine for twice as long as normal. just think and figure out how stressed u r. and if u aren't stressed go to a doctor
prettylittlexscars
yeah it might be from stress and eating and stuff... but periods tend to be irregular like that in teenagers. naturally.

okay here is my problem..
last time i had my period i was getting cramps that were really bad. i usually do, but these were worse. and in school i was sort of pale.. i wasnt sick or anything. and i started getting dizzy and feeling like i was going to pass out. and i was freezing but sweating. it was really weird. i have no idea what it was..

any ideas?

oh and any remedies for cramps are appreciated too.
aicilah999
see a doctor..
and arent periods irregular if u just started them??
Ambuletz
I've never heard of that before. o_0

But yeah, go see your gynochologist.
BOLIN_Vee
alot of my friends have the same problem and they say its because the periods they had before were just randome "spurts" and that after a while they'll get there period for real and it will be on track.
but what do they know there stupid go see a doctor.
wickedvampire3
I suggest that you go to the doctor.......>.> it seems strange to miss it for 3 months....the longest i ever missed was 1 month....
Blow_Don't_SUCK
Is this like your first year? because periods have awkward schedules on your first year.
chaneun
I think it means you're dying. fallen.gif

Your health teacher should have told you that when you first start your period, within the first year or two it'll be irregular.
jedimoccassin
Being stressed can stop or prevent you from having your period. Going to a doctor cant hurt. It is bad for your body to miss a period, but it isnt un natural or unusual.
anniepiee
^ agreed.

Illness may be another cause of irregular menstrual cycles. Also malnutrition is another common cause.
x0xlisamarie
there's a ton of reasons why you go so long without your period.
stress, unhealthy diets, or your body is just starting to regulate your periods. there is also a "disease" i could say. its called polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS. i actually have it, and it's nothing to worry about. it just makes your periods irregular, you can have problems conceiving a child, and excess body hair, etc. but i haven't had my period for about 5 or 6 months and counting.

but just go talk to your doctor and mention PCOS and they can test you for it. hope i helped. :]
colleen92
i read that if you excercise too much you can end up skipping your period.

Ever heard of someone called the Doctor?
Well, you can either go visit him or take the risk of dying from some unknown disease.
