i tried to submit a layout, but once i did it said i left a required field blank! and i tried it again 3 times and it always said that! and i made sure that i didn't leave a field blank. what do i do?
but the only field i left blank was an optional field. so that shouldn't matter.

Are you using FireFox? It works fine for me, try using that instead of IE if you haven't.

Is this problem still going on? Which field is it?
chococat15
Mar 11 2006, 10:59 PM
well, it doesn't say. it takes forever to load, and then it says one of the required fields is missing.
i'm using FF. for the screenshot, i just do full screen and press "print screen" and save that.

The screenshot has to be in a specific ratio (I forget what) and it's best if you use 1024x768 resolution. That's a common problem. If it's an optional field then it is most likely the Comment section. Have you already PMed micron about this?

Mar 11 2006, 11:41 PM
yes, but it wouldn't send because it said his box was full or something.
so ur saying it could be the resolution?
mona lisa
Mar 11 2006, 11:52 PM
So you didn't take it in full screen mode in a 1024 by 768 resolution?... If so, then that is most likely the problem.

i did the fullscreen thing. f11. and then pressed "print screen" and saved that, and uploaded it when i tried to submit the layout.

It has to be in 1024 by 768 resolution (I know, I tried). &a .jp[e]g image(just like previous versions). &in full screen mode. I'm just saying. Because people might have forgotten it needs to be a .jpg image.

ew, when i saved it as .jpg it became all blurry and ugly
oh. i see. my screenshot wasn't 1024 by 768. how do i get it to that? when i screenshot it, it's larger
is that how you're supposed to screenshot it? by pressing "print screen"?

open your layout > press F11 > press Print Screen > open an image editing program > paste > save as .jpg

If your screenshot is somehow larger than 1024x768 then your screen resolution itself is larger. Check your display settings and make sure you're using that resolution (I'm using 1152x864, it's possible that you've got a higher res as well).

Is it okay if the screen shots are full screen?
And when you put in the tags do you do it like this: cow, moo, love, cute
OR
cow, moo, cute
& I know you have to have 10 tags.

Oops, and error occured!
The screenshot should not be cropped, or taken in wide-screen.
hmm well at least i got everything else right. I took it in full screen should i try 1024 in width and 768 in height?

it finally works for me!

eh. even though it works fine for me, i think it would easier for everyone if it was changed back to 500X500 screenshot.

so since my screen is wider, should i crop the screenshot so that it's 1024x768?
gelionie
Mar 13 2006, 08:01 AM
^ Yes.
If you don't want to crop, change the resolution setting of your computer, take the screenshot and change it back again.
chococat15
Mar 13 2006, 08:02 AM
ok. i'll try cropping it.

I get the same problem too, but a lot of the time (Back in cB 2) it always said that it needed to be a square :\ Does that not apply anymore?

^it still kind of has to be in a square but i beleive it has to be 1024x768 resolution

Well, not really. You don't have to crop it into a square. Change your resolution to 1024x768, hit F11, and take the screenshot. Resizing a screenshot to 1024x768 should work too. But do not crop at all!
