Valentine's Day is ridiculous fun, but every year I always have to hold myself back from crying. I also have to look at a valentine I made in 4th grade but never sent. My feelings are written away on it and they haven't changed. The note reads: "I don't think I'm ready to tell you how I feel. Happy Valentines Day." I left a secret identity too, but it was fourth grade, it wasn't cliche then! XD

So tell me, how do you feel on Valentine's Day? And if it hurts, why?
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with relationships. Maybe ya'll should move it. Btw, I searched, and found no other topic like this for this year...maybe I missed it? Let me know if I made a mistake.

Well, I never really liked a guy near Valentines day. I'm never really sad, either. I'm crushing on this guy right now, though. He's ok, I guess. He's nice, but he has anger problems.. I'll et over him soon.. Maybe.. I didn't really realize Valentines day was near until today... Oh well. *sigh*

I don't really care about Valentine's Day. It's too commercial for me. I also had a fight with my boyfriend last year, so I don't really like thinking about that.
But, I don't hurt on the day. It's pretty much a regular day except people get so excited about it, it's kinda annoying.

hmm sometimes i get a sort of jabbing feeling i guess you could say, but it has never in the past hurt me to the extent that i have cried. i just don't like the thought of crying because of a guy or because i'm not in a relationship or whatever. i just don't think my tears are worth it...i mean i guess i'm kind of upset because i don't have that special someone to spend valentine's day with, but i'm still young...i have plenty of time. theres really no need to rush things...

ahh, i remmeber last year's valentines day...it wasnt like a romantic thing..but i remember back then, everything was so carefree..and i remember me and some friends used to have sooo much fun. ah, the good old times. it just hurts me to think that its no longer like that with a very special friend, or a ex-best friend..its crazy how things can change in only a year.

I can't help but feel sad when I don't have a valentine...and now I realize it's sadder that I have someone, but I don't have a valentine. :/

It's meaningless really, but it just sucks..

it hurts at times because i'm not in love with anyone. but i LOVE valentine's day. i have always loved it even when i was single. i love looking at all the cute things and thinking about getting them for someone, anyone and reading the cards. plus, at barnes and noble, they drag out all the sex books for display so i don't have to find them myself and i won't look like a pervert when i look at them.

i hate how people are so bitter about valentine's day. if you don't like it that's fine but don't hate on other people who like it

I didn't mind Valentines Day when I was in High School coz everybody would be happy and carrying around gifts and roses from frds.... bf and ppls~ I was single back then~

Now that I have a bf......... well..... i guess things would still be happy~ Except me being alone on Valentines Day this yr coz bf's still overseas....... haven't heard from him eversince he left.... I dun feel special...... especially today......

I don't mind it. I don't see the big deal. I'm single, and I'm okay with that. It doesn't bring up "bad memories" or anything. I think it's a nice day for people who are part of a couple. Really, it's a nice day for everyone--love knows no bounds.

i have been single on v-day every yr of my life until this one and i thought it would be so different but the only thing diff is that i have someone to spend it with. i always thought that you were supposed to get flowers and all that but i didnt and thats ok. looking back though i really never liked the holiday cus never had somone. now i good with just having some one but gifts will be expected next yr lol

if youre already a couple--"OMGAH! WHERE MY MONEY! I NEED TO GET SOMETHING FOR MY HUNNYYY!!" valentines day may be great for couples. (dating, married, whatever) but im sure there are millions who ponder on what to get their mates for the day of love. some guys think its just a stupid holliday to get their women bra and panty sets from victorias secret (and maybe get some "loving.") or getting them huge heart shaped box chocolates with those yummy caramels inside. or maybe..they go out and search for days just to find the perfect squeezable, hugable, cutuest, biggest, softest teddy. oh, my..did you forget v day again? get ready for a red mark on your cheek. valentines day is probably a girls fav holiday.


if youre not a couple..and youre single--"JUST STFU AND LET ME CRY ALONE!" no, for the people who are lonely and have no one, valentines day is another day where women especially, can go hide in their bath tubs with bubble bath and wine and cry. Some may get home made cards or goodies from friends or others may try to block it out of their minds and pretend valentines day is canceled. its a day to feel sorry about ourselves and ask why cupid was ever invented.

I think Valentine Day is pretty pointless and I don't care about it. I didn't even notice today was Valentine Day till this girl said it to me. I'm like "Huh? Oh.."

What really hurts is when your truest valentine can't spend valentines day with you. Thats the worst feelin in the world and I wouldn't wish it on anyone....

Well, to tell you the truth. valentines always saddens me, but when i get to school in the morning im constantly showered with cards:] that kind of stuff cheers me up quickly, so..im usually happy on holidays. but i really wish i had asked him to be my valentine..being forced to stand across from him, and not even have a decent conversation, it hurts:|

Haha—that's kind of a cynical way of looking at Valentine's Day, isn't it? I think that there's no need for those in a relationship to stress over Valentine's Day. I think just spending time with a significant other is good enough for most couples. And it doesn't have to be a day to make single people break down and cry. Society (and possibly the media) tries its hardest to make it seem like that's what singles are supposed to do, but I think singles can be quite content on Valentine's Day. Let the couples have their fun, eh?

But unfortunatly I Was too chicken to stick a love note on my curshes locker, oh well. Valentines day is overated anyway.
