I found it slightly amusing that I share the last name with the man who was recently shot by D
ick Cheney.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/02/12/cheney/index.htmlSo, have you ever seen your name or someone you know's name in the news? Has it been you or them or just a coinicidence?

Gosh.. I read about the Cheney thing last night. Isn't that wonderful, go out for a nice day of hunting and get sprayed with birdshot in the face and chest. But he's doing okay now, I guess.
Closest thing in regards to the news thing.. When my family was taking in foster children, we saw a news story about a family of four children. The parents had basically deserted them and the oldest, an 8-year-old girl, was raising and feeding the other three. When DHS came and found them, the youngest one was eating cereal off the bathroom floor and the entire house was covered in cat feces.
That night around 2am, we got a call from our agency and we got the two youngest siblings.

What a d**k. :) That's so silly that he would accidentally shoot someone in the face. Hope he gets charged with something.
Anyways, no, nothing like that with the news has ever happened with me.

thank goodness it wasn't a random person who got shot...that would've been 100x worse.

found out in US history that me and someone prominent in the Confederacy have the same last name. Mildly uncommon form of a last name, our's is. made me wonder about my very southern family.

If he had been a democrat, he wouldn't have gotten shot.
That's all I'm saying.

Wait wait, is the old guy dead? No, he was doing okay but now he's had a heart attack. It was just a play off of the saying "guns don't kill people, people kill people".
