The term "playstation 3 or ps3" is no longer in use. I live in Japan and I currently own the next playstation. To advise you, it's now called a "PSX". It has the functions of uploading digital photography, television/tv guides, games, music, dvd, and playing burned movies, games, music, etc. It also has a built in HardDrive (HDD) and there is an internet modem built in. I am too lazy to post the picture of PSX right here so just go to a search engine and search "PSX" in the imagery. Thank you for letting me give you information. By the way, you people may think I am lying but I swear I am telling the truth. If I am lying, you can come to Japan, and take all of my possesions.

Oh my gosh! Read the top, concept pictures! That is what American people think "PS3" is going to look like. I mean like those concepts pictures aren't even close to the real actual PSX! People these days... fine then. I will show you a picture or a PSX at a technology convention here in Japan. Took them 5 weeks ago! Geez! You just made me blow my mind over this, they're concept pictures for cryin' out loud!

umm lets see...i wasnt referring to PSX cuz its already out....yes there is a PS3...just to let you know....that is the current name anyways....the PSX is just the PS2 with a bunch of added features and a $700 price tag...so i guess ill come to japan and take ur stuff

I'd go with PS3. Nintendo to me seems kind of kiddie or childish. Even the design of the console looks like a frickin' toy jack in da box. I mean come on, Mario Sunshine? Walkin' around with a super soaker on your back? LOL. I gotta admit the system is great at multiplayer games though like the Mario Party series. Sony seems more adult-oriented and serious.

I'm excited about all of them.

The N5 (GameCube next, GameSphere, whatever you wanna call it, but the N5 is what GameFAQers call it) because I LOVE NINTENDO!

The PS3 because I LOVE the PS2 and PS1.

The Nintendo DS because it's an interesting concept and I LOVE NINTENDO!

The GB4 (GameBoy 4, GameBoy Next, Whatever) because I LOVE NINTENDO!

The Xenon/XBox Next/WHATEVER because... well... I'm not excited about this one really. Only if a Halo sequel comes out on it.

Sony PSP because I want it. I dunno why. I just want it.

Nintendo is NOT kiddish. They're not gonna turn one of their best franchises (Mario) into a GTA-themed gangster game in the Mushroom Kingdom. You gotta go for the "adult-oriented" titles then, such as Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, and Killer 7 (soon to come). And Nintendo makes games for all ages, so... yeah. And Sony is a professional electronics company... they're gonna be like all childish and stuff...

I picked DS because it is the only one coming out in the forseeable future. PS3 isn't going to be out until 07. XB3 and Nintendo Revolution are 06, possibly 05 for N5. And if I had to pick a console, it would be the Nintendo Revolution because Miyamoto promised a "gaming revolution." Who cares about graphics anymore? They are all the same. Gameplay is what's going to sell the next system. If Nintendo comes out first or second, they aren't going to have the gap they had behind the PS2. Plus, more companies are going to back up the Big N when they realize that no one is buying their games because everyone is stuck on another FF or Halo game.

AMEN...

The only thing Sony is serious about is selling electronics. They are probably going to focus too much on the PSP and when it fails they are going to realize that no one is going to buy a PS3 because it'll be WAAY out of the price range of regular people. Honestly, I have owned 3 PS2's, 2 were for free because the disc reader kept breaking. How smart is it to put another drive in a handheld, with that kind of reputation???
