i think it's like when someone says they really don't like the person but you really know they have the biggest crush on them... or they might not.

It really depends on his reaction etc.

He could be telling the truth because he doesn't want to hurt you, or either he does not have the guts to admit and goes on denial.

Agreed. He probably means it, and just because he looks at you, doesnt necissarily means he likes you. I look/stare at people a lot. I dont like everyone I look at.

he's probably looking at you because you're looking at him. whenever i feel that someone looks at me or is about to, i immediately look at them which kind of makes them think i'm checking them out when i'm not

those people really shouldn't flatter themselves

Exact thing happens to me. Then i get paranoid if whether or not they realized i was actually look at them, or looking at them because i felt they were about to look at me. Then it gets all confusing (:

Just because he's looking at you, doesn't automatically hint he likes you. Maybe there's something else about you that caught his attention? Sure, there are chances he likes you and there are chances he doesn't. From what you posted, I'm not sure because the only evidence you gave us was that he looks at you which is pretty feeble if you ask me.

At this point, I would suggest taking him for his word. If he is telling you that he does not like you, in all probability, he doesn't like you.

A few looks don't really create a sufficient amount of doubt.

well i mean. its kinda like the shakspere play, much adi about nothing. when we talk were funny and sometimes we like dont talk for a while. like last year me and hijm were really tight and now this year were not in the same classes and we barely talk. plus i dont hang out with him that often cuz my friends dont hang out with his friends, really. but i would really like to talk to him more often and maybe even hang out with him.

Maybe he did tell you the truth AT FIRST. But AFTER telling you that, adn knowing that you liked him, it might have given him second thoughts...........He could always learn to like you, if you allow him enough time.
