Anyone heard of this up and coming band?

heard them on this radio site a little while ago, thought they were ok. then saw them on one tree hill and they seemed better. they got some good stuff

I hear them on the radio to the way to work once. I think it was a song called "Popular". They just seemed really, really whiny.

They hit it big with "Popular" a while back (early-mid 90's I think). They put out "This Weight is A Gift" last year. I'm pretty fond of them, I really like "Always Love" by them.
All their songs aren't like "Popular" though, more Nada Surf-ish stuff is like "Happy Kid"
