what do you consider rich? different people have differen views on the word rich.. a person whose salary is 10K annually... can view a person whose salary is 50K annually ..rich.

but a person whose salary is 100K annually.. can view a person whose salary is 80K annually.. poor.

you can define rich in many ways, it's the same with poor.


some rich people, to them, they will never be "rich enough."
but, to answer the question, I'd say that I'm not rich, but I'm not poor.

i think the topic starter means is how society sees you. so, according to society, are you rich, poor, (whatever the choices were).

Average. I live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood, I have a car and I can get what I want. But nothing too extravagant.

Well I think it is possible to be rich and not be spoiled. But anyways, I'm not rich. Although I'm not poor either. I'm just in the middle. Sometimes my family has times where we can splurge other times money is tight. It just depends. But overall we're just "decent".

haha, this is a trick question, if you answer you're rich, all the other people will start probing your ass with questions( HOW ARE YOU RICH? AND ECT0 or flaming you, and then if you answer you're not...then you're just being 'humble'...but then thats like kind of lying. and then there are the people who go " i'm not rich but all my friends say i am.. " and they're trying to imply something without being too obvious. Its actually the same thing with intelligence, if you're surrounded by less than average people and then you yourself are a little more than average (intelligence wise) then people will think you're a genius, but then of course thats just common sense that you use. okay um you decide. my parents make about 150,000 a year. in some areas it might seem like a lot, but here, its definitely just middle class. a bunch of my friends' parents make 250,000+ a year. haha yeah, i'm pretty envious but i'm definitely not complaining.

i dont think i'm spoiled, because i have a job and i don't usually ask my parents for money. the only occasions they "spoil" me is when i need money for school or when they buy me bday/xmas gifts.

I like that. Everything you said is so accurate. Especially what you said about people implying that they're rich but not being obvious by saying "my friends think I am". Anyways I still say Im poor.

Im not like, on the edge of poverty ( my cousin, his hoebag girlfriend and his 3 kids are ) but my family doesnt exactly have everything we need to get by.

We always struggled with money, but we got by fine, financially. Me and my brother never got what we wanted, and only sometimes got what we needed. We still have a computer that we bought when we were still able to pay bills, but now I havent gotten a birthday or christmas present from my mom or dad in 3 years. I havent gotten any new clothes from my family in 2 years. I guess you could say were poor. But at least we still have our house, and blankets, and food sometimes.

I make my own way, doing what I do.

being rich doesn't come from nowhere. my parents used to be kinda poor back in the day. my dad worked 17 hours every day at a LAUNDROMAT..washing other peoples' dirty clothing.
he now owns a manufacturing chain and is also a molecular array techinician.

well, my dad only makes about $30,000 as a chef which is minimum wage..that is actually pretty bad. but we've managed to get a lexus..which i dont get.

i guess we're medium? its only my dad and i. plus, last year, the only money i used from him was a $10 bill for the movies. so i actually save a lot for my dad. but if we used lots of it, we'd be broke.
